Eligibility Criteria

For consideration, entrepreneurs need to meet the following criteria:

Have an active, CIPC registered business
Have 51% or more black ownership
Must have tax registration
The business must have operating experience of longer than 6 months within the industry it is applying for

British Council Study UK GREAT Scholarships 2022/2023 for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom (Funded)

GREAT Scholarships offers scholarships from UK universities, across a variety of subjects for students from 18 countries.

Each scholarship is worth a minimum of £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year taught postgraduate course.

As part of the programme, all GREAT scholars will be invited to a welcome event in the first semester and a networking event in the second semester.

Requirements:

GREAT scholars must:

be a citizen of Ghana, Egypt, Kenya, and Nigeria
have an undergraduate degree
meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI
establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
be willing to attend a networking event of all UK based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK
be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships
as an alumnus of the GREAT Scholarships, be willing occasionally to speak to potential candidates about his or her own experience of studying in the UK.

Selection

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by the GLF, who will shortlist up to 25 photos from all eligible submissions received during the competition period.

The GLF will publish the finalist photos on its online platforms. The public will be invited to vote for their favorite photos, and the submission that receives the most votes will receive the ‘popular vote’ award. The panel will choose first and second prize winners.

Entries will be accepted until 10 May. Finalists will be announced on 20 May, with the winners announced in June.

African Critical Inquiry Programme 2022 Ivan Karp Doctoral Research Awards for African doctoral students- ZAR 40,000.

The African Critical Inquiry Program (ACIP) seeks to advance inquiry and debate about the roles of public cultural domains and institutions in shaping identities and society in South Africa after colonialism and apartheid. The program has two components:

The first, an annual ACIP Workshop in South Africa, provides interdisciplinary, cross-institutional contexts to address issues central to such debate and to develop comparative, critical frameworks that can yield fresh insights, innovative and informed practice, and lively interchange for those working in and on institutions of public culture in Africa.
The second component, the Ivan Karp Doctoral Research Awards, fosters work by the next generation of scholar-practitioners.

In these ways, ACIP strengthens public scholarship and institutions of public culture in South Africa and enhances our understanding of these vital sites of cultural production and social action.

Eligibility Requirements

The Ivan Karp Doctoral Research Awards are open to African postgraduate students (regardless of citizenship) in the humanities and humanistic social sciences.
Applicants must be currently registered in a Ph.D. programme in a South African university and be working on topics related to ACIP’s focus.
Awards will support doctoral research projects focused on topics such as institutions of public culture, particular aspects of museums and exhibitions, forms and practices of public scholarship, culture and communication, and the theories, histories and systems of thought that shape and illuminate public culture and public scholarship.

Selection Criteria:

Selection will be based on the merit and strength of the application.

Awards are open to proposals working with a range of methodologies in the humanities and humanistic social sciences, including research in archives and collections, fieldwork, interviews, surveys, and quantitative data collection.
Applicants are expected to write in clear, intelligible prose for a selection committee that is multi-disciplinary and cross-regional.
Proposals should show thorough knowledge of the major concepts, theories, and methods in the applicant’s discipline and in other related fields and include a bibliography relevant to the research.
Applicants should specify why an extended period of on-site research is essential to successfully complete the proposed doctoral dissertation.

Digital Innovation for Development in Africa (DIDA) PhD Fellowships 2022 for healthcare professionals

10 PhD fellowships are available for African nationals to join a unique programme developing the next generation of diagnostics for African Healthcare Systems.

DIDA have 10 fully funded PhD fellowships starting in 2022, with projects spanning a range of disciplines including molecular diagnostic test development, clinical evaluation, health systems research, design engineering, and data modelling.

Eligibility

DIDA expect that successful applicants will have a track-record of academic excellence, with a first class or upper second class (or equivalent) undergraduate degree and a relevant Masters degree (or clinical qualification).

University of Edinburgh Surgery Online Global Scholarships 2022/2023

The University of Edinburgh will offer a number of scholarships for online learning Masters programmes for the academic year 2022-2023.

Eligibility

The scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission on to the MSc Surgical Sciences (Online Learning) and ChM (Online Learning) General Surgery, Urology, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Vascular & Endovascular.
Applicants must be resident in Africa, South Asia, Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands or Central and South America.

Complete the online application form for an Edinburgh Surgery Online Global Scholarship
