Job Purpose

Why does the job exist?

  • Lead the field sales team to deliver agreed business objectives including brilliant execution of sales and channel marketing activities within assigned regions

  • Peer Relationships

Context / Scope

  • A key contributor to the success of the PZ Wilmar commercial strategic plan with an effective and flexible field sales force; demonstrating industry leadership in both volume driving and brand building activities

Principal Accountabilities

  • The key outputs of the job

  • Manage the activities of the field sales team in North Region Ensure achievement of agreed business targets/KPIs for the Region (Top line, GM, focused brands, NPD, etc) Achievement of the sales drivers objectives for the region Manage the operational budget and expenses of the region Ensures our trade investment is deployed to gain full return on our investment.
  • Provide input in the development of the overall country field sales/route to market strategy and implement agreed strategy in assigned region Actively participate and provide inputs into the commercial plan process, support development and implementation of channel, category and consumer plans to achieve the overall field sales objectives Feed into the demand planning process to optimize the quality and accuracy of our business planning process Ensure development of careers and coaching of reports in assigned region. Work with other leadership team to identify and develop successive business leaders

  • Sales experience in the North for at least 7 years and has a very good understanding of the territory, consumers and their behaviours

The Recruiter Complex

  • The Vice-Presidency for Private Sector, Infrastructure and Industrialization is at the heart of the Bank’s mission to develop the private sector, improve infrastructure and accelerate industrialization.
  • The complex’s main mission is to: (i) strengthen the enabling environment for private sector [and financial sector] development and promote inclusive growth and sustainable development; ii) support the development of reliable and sustainable infrastructure, including cities and urban planning; and (iii) strengthening action on industrial and trade performance for structural transformation in Africa.

The Recruiting Department / Division

  • The Department of Infrastructure and Urban Development (PICU) supports the Bank’s Regional Member Countries (RMCs) in identifying the types of loans and grants to finance transport projects and programmes, as well as the non-loan knowledge products used to develop and implement transport sector policies and strategies, as well as sectoral reforms to ensure that best practices are integrated into policy, planning, programming, institutional governance, maintenance and operations.

The Position

  • The Operations Assistant incumbent will be responsible for analyzing operations, as part of his duties, to facilitate the work and decision-making of the Division Manager and the work teams in the Region.

Main Functions

Under the supervision of the Head of Regional Division, the Operations Assistant will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • Create and manage databases of the Division and perform any task related to data entry and analysis as required, and ensure the updating of information in physical and electronic filing systems (Sankofa shared server)
  • Contribute to the preparation of activity notes and reports, meeting summaries and/or briefing notes on operations, progress made and lessons learned, drawing on project reports, workshops and information contained in the Bank’s database;
  • Update SAP data management information for all Bank-funded Infrastructure projects, including contract registration and results, in collaboration with project managers and the Country Program Officer;
  • Recruit and manage consultants with particular attention to procedures and payment tracking;
  • Contribute to the annual preparation of the division’s budget and the day-to-day management of the division’s budget;
  • Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the implementation of the Division’s annual work programme as well as to the regular updates of the program;
  • Performs other operational support tasks as requested by the Division Manager and the Program Officer.
  • Monitor program activities through data management in SAP, SARS, BPPS, RRS and other systems, and ensure that information on Bank-financed projects is regularly updated;
  • Support the Division and administrative staff in the preparation of planning and information documents, drawing on information stored in databases;
  • Track acquisitions and other requests for non-objection notices received for all projects managed by the Division ;

The Mandela Rhodes Foundation (MRF) Äänit Prize 2022 for Social Impact projects ($80 000 Prize)

The Äänit Prize supports initiatives that can deliver positive social impact for Africa’s most marginalised populations. The competition is open to alumni of the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship and the Rhodes Scholarship. Äänit means “common work” or “joint effort” in the language Koalib, a minority language spoken in Sudan. This name speaks to MRF belief in coming together to take collective responsibility for Africa’s future. It was also chosen to highlight our continent’s linguistic diversity.

 Step 2: Wait to be invited to apply

We will review all of the indications of interest and then invite 30 candidates to submit full applications. We will let you know if you are not successful.

 Step 3: Submit your application (10 June 2022 – 11 July 2022)

Submit your application. This will include a written project statement, a project /business plan (maximum of 12 pages) and relevant supporting documents. The 30 applications will be evaluated by reviewers with relevant experience and expertise.

 Step 4: Prepare to pitch

The longlisted candidates will be invited to an interview in the week of 22 August, which will include a short pitch that builds on the value proposition of your written application.

 Step 5: Iterate and improve

The candidates who go through to the final round will receive written comments. They will have 48 hours to improve their proposals and record a two-minute pitch to submit.

 Step 6: Winners decided

The shortlisted candidates’ applications will be sent to an external, independent panel of judges. They will make a final decision on how many winners to choose, and how to allocate the prize money.

The winners will be informed and then announced publicly at a celebration on the 17th of September 2022.

The AWJP is an initiative dedicated to empowering women journalists by providing them with the skills and resources they need to create content that raises awareness of under-reported issues affecting women and makes a business case for sustained gender reporting supported by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ).

The AWJP + ICFJ West African GBV Reporting Fellowship, run with the support of the Ford Foundation in West Africa, focuses on women and girls in their reporting on cultural, societal, and political inequalities that contribute to gender-based violence, impede economic opportunity, and limit the participation of West African women in development.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be responsible for editing exciting and engaging content for broadcast, online and print content. The ideal candidate must be a creative problem solver with solid journalist judgment, detail skills and the ability to think creatively.

The ideal candidate should have solid news judgment and a thorough understanding of the different writing styles and subject matter relevant to gender-focused news organizations and will work alongside several other editorial experts, including researchers, writers, data analysts, designers, and social media strategists.Scope of work:

Skills

  • Have strong writing/editing/proofreading skills and an excellent portfolio.
  • Excellent written skills in English. Similar skills in French will be an advantage.
  • Have an eye for detail paired with critical thinking skills.
  • Be able to prioritize tasks and multitask.
  • Have excellent knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, audio, and visual media.
  • Knowledge of GBV and other gender-related expertise will be an added advantage.
  • Have the ability to deal with criticism or disagreements with Fellows professionally.
  • Be familiar with significant laws concerning libel, copyright, invasion of privacy, and contempt.
  • Experience with or familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as Slack, GSuite, Miro and Trello is preferred but isn’t a must.
  • High levels of integrity, accountability, energy, and adaptability
  • Be willing to work unusual hours to accommodate different time zones.
  • Have excellent internal and external communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • At least eight (8) years of work experience in journalism, writing website content, editing, proofreading, layout, graphic design, and communications in the public or private sector.
  • The ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and execute tasks in a collaborative environment is required.

Languages

Fluency in English is required. Fluency in French will be an added advantage.

Job Title: Account Payable Officer – Junior Level

Location: Town Planning Way, Ilupeju – Lagos

Job Description

  • Downloading & analysis of Bank statements for all Banks including Group Companies
  • Bank Reconciliation (Uploading of Bank Statement in Orion and passing of all Unreconcilled Transaction in the Bank Statement into Orion)
  • Bank Statements Review for Debits/Credits to ensure authencity of transactions
  • Downloading of all Bank uploaded transactions in orion to track unmatched entries and sending same to respective personnel for matching
  • Analysing the Debits in Vendor Payment A/c for authencity, highlighting reversals/double debits to the team for reversals and reprocessing of the payment etc.
  • Analysing the Payment of Staff Salaries in the Bank Statement
  • Sending of Cheque Book Request to the Bank, Update the records in my Tracker once received and Safe Keeping and Tracking of all Cheque Book Usage
  • Monitoring the Uploading of all Directs Credit (Card Inflows) and all Direct Debit (Bank Charges) in the Bank statement into the Bank Book
  • Unidentified Credit circulated (DC LIST) and Post Payment (BRV No.) alloted after identification by branches
  • Confirmation of funds Inflow to all Location for Walk in Customers to ensure prompt delivery of goods to the customer
  • Communication of all Reversals in online transfer to Payment Team and also communication of all Bounced Cheques to all Branches
  • Monitoring the Cheque deposit for Marketing Income, vendor registration and Sku Registration circulation of the BRV NO.
  • Sending of all Mall Management Bank Statement for analysis of Tenants Payments by the Mall management team.
  • Compiling of unutilised Funds in Current Accounts and transferring same to Overdraft Accounts
  • Bank correspondence Documentation,Board Resolution, Fund transfer letters and Cheque Book Request letters preparation.
  • Bank correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in marketing or sales, and over this period has successfully delivered on KPIs.
  • Direct experience of PZ Cussons Way of selling capabilities with a focus on Sales Driver execution at the point of purchase (QDVP), Outlet Segmentation and Managing Relationships including structured call, persuasive selling and brand passion.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing architectural working drawings including all details for architectural interior projects. This includes millwork, tile, elevations, plans, sections, and RCPs.
  • Maintain / organize project files, schedules, and specifications.
  • Work with the entire team, in-office, and with outside consultants.
  • Proficient in time management to facilitate working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Site visits and assisting in construction supervision.
  • Site survey / measures of existing conditions and producing drawings of same.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience.
  • Proficient in architectural Systems and Knowledge.
  • Concern for order, quality, and accuracy.
  • In-depth ability to read, develop and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts orally and graphically.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Sketch-Up, and AutoCAD Suite is required.
  • Experience and interest in high-performance architectural design.
  • Conversant with National and International Codes, Standards, and Architectural Practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and Adobe editing system.
  • Highly motivated and have the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Team player with excellent personnel management skills.
  • Excellent use of Architectural Software (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit designs, etc.).
  • Proven experience in architectural document production and team coordination.

Salary

N80,000 – N100,000 monthly.
