Our Exciting Opportunity

  • The Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Program Director is responsible to drive large and sophisticated Professional Services engagements towards Ericsson’s customers.
  • The candidate will also support the Key Account Manager (KAM) with extensive technical knowledge. By tackling both the Contract Fulfillment Responsible (CFR) and sometimes Customer Solution Responsible (CSR role), the ICT Program Director is the overall responsible for the Core team, especially for:
    • The overall solution
    • The overall cost estimation
    • The delivery model (mix of on-shore, near-shore and off-shore resources)
  • Once the deal is won, the ICT Program Director is the head of the delivery, from opportunity phase until the complete fulfilment of the contract, ensuring the continuity from pre-sales to delivery, actively seeking to improve top and bottom lines with due consideration to customer happiness and Ericsson’s business objectives since these programs often have visible impact on the Business Unit and corporate results.
  • In wider and sophisticated projects, ICT Director will be the program lead for a team of ICT Managers for project sub streams.

You Will

  • Need BSS, OSS, Core & Cloud proficiency
  • Knowledge & experience of BSS, OSS, Core & Cloud
  • Should have done management of +5MUSD projects complex projects in Telecommunications with multiple technologies
  • PMP or Prince2 certification is Mandatory.
  • Good understanding of Telco Standards & Telco Business.
  • Automation experience and Devops and Agile certifications are plus.
  • Build a strong Customer Relationship at C-Level (IT, Engineering, Marketing, Finance etc.). Daily presence at customer site, becoming a sort of Ericsson “agent” at the customer premise to increase the customer’s trust in Ericsson as a system integrator.
  • Guide up-sales opportunities!
  • Mentor the team, to interact with them and to support them in their professional growth, and to identify and recognize talents!
  • Support asset and organizational set-up and growth; a main contributor to the Professional Service culture growth, delivery methodology fine-tuning as well as harvesting the best practices from the programs driven.
  • Need hands-on experience when it comes to projects delivery

Job Overview / Summary

  • The Finance Assistant is to assist the senior Finance officer by managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, responsible for Cash processing and record-keeping of the day-to-day transactions in accordance with IRC policy and procedures.

Major Responsibilities

  • To assist the senior Finance Officer in ensuring that timely and accurate payments are made.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of payment documents in compliance with IRC and Donor policies and procedure
  • Coordinate with district teams for advance issuance and their timely liquidation of advances & Training documentation.
  • Finance/Budgeting
  • Act always in accordance with local law and standards of accounting practice.
  • Review budget with the aim of gaining a clear understanding of budget guidelines and instructions
  • Review funding allocations to enable proper guidance to programs and proper coding.
  • Provide training to program staff on finance issues.
  • Assist the Senior finance officer in preparing PO/Non-PO journals in the Integra system and submitted for relevant approval. Ensure that all information in the journal is correct and complete.
  • Processing of petty cash transactions on daily basis. Carry out cash count as per the IRC policy and schedule. Document the cash count sheets for records.
  • Prepare all payments and make sure that they are properly coded and supported with relevant necessary documents.
  • Assist senior Finance officer in monthly bank & account reconciliation.
  • Ensure all the financial documents are properly filed & tagged.
  • Paid stamping of all the invoices and related documents before filing.
  • Ensure timely preparation of tax & deposit into the bank.
  • Visit Bank for necessary collection & submission of financial documents.
  • Photocopies & scanning of all necessary documents/Instruments.
  • Perform any other task assign by the line manager.

  • Position Reports to: Senior Finance Officer
  • Position directly supervises: None
  • Indirect Reporting: Senior Area Manager, Finance Coordinator, Finance Manager.
  • Other Internal and/or external contacts: Field coordinator, IRC Gwoza sector leads.

There is a great advantage for persons interested in migrating to Canada with a valid Canadian job offer. It cannot be seasonal work, and it has to be ongoing for at least one year after you get your permanent resident visa.

If you have a new job offer (offer of arranged employment), you need to update your Express Entry profile in your account with the:

  • start date
  • employer name and address
  • Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) number (if you have one)
  • National Occupational Classification (NOC) code related to the job.

How much does Canada Express Entry cost?

The cost of immigrating to Canada through Express Entry is about $2,300 CAD for a single applicant, or about $4,500 CAD for a couple. The breakdown of costs include,

  1. Language tests: Average cost – $300
  2. Educational Credential Assessment (ECA): Average cost – $200
  3. Biometrics: $85/person
  4. Government fees: $1,325/adult & $225/child

Who is eligible for Express Entry?

A work permit on its own is not a job offer, even if it is an open work permit.

Your job offer must also meet other criteria to be valid under the Express Entry program you qualify for below.

Federal Skilled Workers and Canadian Experience Class

A valid job offer has to be:

  • made by one employer
  • continuous
  • paid
  • full-time (at least 30 hours a week)
  • not seasonal
  • for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
  • in a job that is NOC:
    1. Skill Type 0 or
    2. Skill Levels A or B

It also must be made :

  • by an employer with a new positive LMIA that approves the offer and names you and your position OR
  • if you’re currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on an LMIA, and:
    1. you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
    2. you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued
    3. your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident OR
  • if you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:
    1. are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
    2. have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer
    3. have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa.

Federal Skilled Trades workers

A valid job offer has to be:

  • made by up to two employers
  • for continuous, paid, full-time work (at least 30 hours a week)
  • for at least one year
  • in a skilled trade occupation (jobs with 2016 NOC codes that start with 72, 73, 82, 92 as well as 632 and 633)

It also must be made:

  • by employer(s) who have a new positive LMIA that approves the offer and names you and your position OR
  • if you’re currently working in Canada in a skilled trade job a work permit that was issued based on a positive LMIA, and:
    1. you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
    2. you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa and when the visa is issued
    3. your current employer(s) offered you a full-time job if you’re accepted as a permanent resident, in a job that is in the same three digit level of the NOC as your current job, for at least one year OR
  • you have a valid work permit for one of the listed skilled trade occupation and it’s exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:
    1. are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
    2. have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for the employer(s) on your work permit who is making the offer and
    3. have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa.

How long does Canada Express Entry take?

The Canadian Express Entry can take up-to six months to process, from submission of the Express Entry profile to the issuance of a permanent resident visa. However, not all cases will be as fast. Part-time Work Experience in Canada

Your skilled work experience must be paid work including paid wages or earned commission. We don’t count volunteer work or unpaid internships.

We don’t count any hours you work above 30 hours/week.

Yale Drama Series 2023 Playwriting Competition for emerging Playwrights ( $10,000 prize)

The winner of this annual competition will be awarded the David Charles Horn Prize of $10,000, publication of their manuscript by Yale University Press, and a celebratory event. The prize and publication are contingent on the playwright’s agreeing to the terms of the publishing agreement.

Requirements:

There is no entry fee. Please follow these guidelines in preparing your manuscript:

  1. This contest is applicable to only plays written in the English language. Worldwide submissions are welcome.
  2. Submissions must be original, unpublished full-length plays, with a minimum of 65 pages. Plays with less than 65 pages will not be considered. Translations, musicals, and children’s plays are not accepted.
  3. The Yale Drama Series will support emerging playwrights. Playwrights may win the competition only once.
  4. Playwrights may submit only one manuscript per year.  Only manuscripts authored by one playwright are eligible.
  5. Plays that have been professionally produced or published are not eligible and plays that have had a workshop, reading, or non-professional production or that have been published as an actor’s edition will be considered.
  6. Plays may not be under option, commissioned, or scheduled for professional production or publication at the time of submission.
  7. The Yale Drama Series reserves the right to reject any manuscript for any reason.
  8. The Yale Drama Series reserves the right of the judge to not choose a winner for any given year of the competition and reserves the right to determine the ineligibility of a winner, in keeping with the spirit of the competition, and based upon the accomplishments of the author.
