How does Change of Course and Institution work?

This are the steps involved in jamb change of course and institutions

  • You do the change of course and institutions on the JAMB portal
  • JAMB forwards your details to the new school(s)
  • The new school(s) update(s) your names and details to their post UTME or admission portals to enable you to register for the Post UTMEs or screenings.
  • Then, you register for post-UTMEs or screenings of the new school or course of your choice.

How long does it take JAMB change of course to reflect?

There is no fixed time. It can take as long as 24 hours or a few days for the changes to reflect. That is why it is highly recommended that you do your Jamb change of course or Jamb change of institution on time.
Please Note- Not all schools accepts change of institution. However, a school that will not allow change of institution again will definitely inform you while on the JAMB portal for the change of institution.

Nigerian Air force (NAF) DSSC Recruitment 2021- The NAF invites application from qualified graduate and postgraduate candidates for training as Direct Short Service Cadets in various professions as contained in this article below.

NAF DSSC Recruitment

The Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) is a type of commission in the NAF which is open to both civilians and serving military personnel. The Course provides the avenue for the enlistment of degree holders who are professionals in specified fields. Training period for this type of commission is usually 6 months of intensive military training and successful candidates are commissioned into the rank of Flying Officer.

Qualification and Requirements for NAF DSSC Recruitment

  1. Nationality: Applicants must be of Nigerian origin.
  2. Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 30 years by 30 September 2022 (25 – 40 years for Medical Consultants).
  3. Marital Status: All applicants must be single.
  4. Height: Minimum height is 1.66m or 5.4ft for males and 1.63m or 5.3ft for females.
  5. Medical Fitness: All Applicants must be medically and physically fit and must meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
  6. Local Government Area Attestation Form: Applicants’ Local Government Area Attestation Form must be signed by a military officer from the same State as the applicants not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent in the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy or a Police Officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner and above, or Local Government Area Chairmen/Secretaries and Magistrates from the Local Government Area of the applicants. The Local Government Area Attestation Form must be accompanied by the passport photograph and photocopy of the signees’ Drivers Licence or National ID Card or International Passport. The signee is also to authenticate behind the applicant’s passport photograph.

Academic/Professional Requirements for NAF DSSC Recruitment

  •  Interested applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for holders of the first degree and Upper Credit for HND holders. In addition, applicants must possess credit in English Language and Mathematics and 3 additional credits in subjects related to degree course of study. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants must possess NYSC Discharge certificate or Letter of Exemption from NYSC at the time of applying for DSSC.
  • Applicants must possess certificates of full registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria where applicable. 

Documents Needed for NAF DSSC Recruitment Application

Presentation of original credentials: Successful applicants will be required to submit their original credentials for scrutiny at the Selection Board Interview Exercise. The credentials include the following:

  • Two recent passport size photographs to be stamped and countersigned by the officer of appropriate rank as specified in Paragraph 6.
  • Original and Photocopy of Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
  • Original and Photocopy of Educational/Trade Certificates.
  • Original and Photocopy of Indigeneship certificate from applicant’s Local Government/State of Origin.
  • Original and Photocopy of Attestation of Good Character signed by Officer of appropriate rank as specified.

NSCDC Recruitment 2021 Update- The Commandant General and Management of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, in compliance with the directive of the Board of Civil Defence Correctional Fire and Immigration Board hereby notifies the public of the commencement of the 2019 nationwide Recruitment Exercise into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

NSCDC Final Shortlisted Candidates for Physical Screening 2021/2022– This is to notify you all that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the final stage of the NSCDC 2019 recruitment exercise.

NSCDC Shortlist 2021/2022

The NSCDC board only shortlisted 6,500 candidates for its final screening out of the over 1.4 million who initially applied for the NSCDC Recruitment.

Important Update for NSCDC Screening

Please note that the final screening of credentials and physical fitness test will be sent via SMS from 2nd to 25th of August 2021.

  • Applicants are invited to check the application portal from July 20 2021 for their names, screening location, guidelines and to print out their recruitment slip without which they won’t be allowed for the screening

  4. Proceed to print your letters of invitation if successful.

As stated above the list of candidates shortlisted for the 2019 NSCDC Recruitment Physical Screening, Medicals and Training is not yet out online. It will be released on 20th of July, 2021.
