The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a para-statal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources Nigeria. They invite interested students who are well qualified to apply for scholarships under the PTDF Scholarship Scheme. The Scholarship is awarded for studies in the United Kingdom, France and few approved Nigerian Universities

Lagos State Scholarship Award – Local and Foreign

The Lagos State Government is one of the leading states that offer admission to Nigerian students. The state offers both Local and Foreign scholarships to indigenes and residents.

Local Scholarship:  This scholarship is for all prospective students of Lagos State origin. The Students must be in full-time study; part-time students are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Foreign Scholarship: This scholarship is designed for students of Lagos State origin admitted for undergraduate or postgraduate programmes in any recognized foreign tertiary institutions.

2019 / 2020 SPDC Joint Venture University Scholarship Award Scheme

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited invites applications from suitably qualified full-time Nigerian students admitted in the 2018/2019 academic session to apply for the University Scholarship Scheme 2020.

Qualifications and Requirements for Shell (SPDC SEPCiN) JV Scholarship

  • Be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
  • Be registered Full Time undergraduates in an accredited and approved University in Nigeria
  • Be in 200 level with (as at December, 2019).

General Requirements

  • All applicants should have their personal valid email account (for consistent communication)
  • Applicants for Operational Area Awards are required to provide scanned copies of letters of identification, which must be duly stamped and signed by:
    • The Paramount Ruler of the Community; and
    • The Chairman of the Community Development (CDC) or
    • The Chairman of the Executive Council (CEC) or
  • The letters should be addressed to: “The Manager, Social Performance, The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, Port Harcourt, Rivers State”.

The merit-based scholarship is in two categories – the National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award (OM).

Ekiti State Scholarship and Bursary Award 2020/2021 Academic Session

The Ekiti State Government has instituted various scholarship and Bursary Awards for students of Ekiti State origin in the Federal, State and Private Universities in Nigeria and overseas.

DATE: From 1st July – 30th August, 2021.

Who can apply for Ekiti State Government Scholarship and Bursary?

All students who are indegenes of Ekiti State can apply as long as they meet the requirements as explained below

Scholarship Award

Applicants must be in 2nd year/HND and above in their courses of study to be qualified for undergraduate Scholarship Award and must possess WASC/NECO/ SSC with a minimum of 5 Credits including English Language and Mathematics at a sitting and minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 for University or the equivalent of a second class Upper Division, 3.5 for Polytechnics and 3.5 for NCE in their current institutions of study.

  • Applicants for Masters Degree and Ph.D Scholarship Award must possess a minimum GPA of 2nd Class Upper at undergraduate level.  A strong letter of recommendation from the University of Masters Degree Programme is an additional prerequisite for the Ph.D Scholarship Award.
  • Physically Challenged Students in Tertiary Institutions (NCE, ND, HND and Degree Studies) are qualified for the Handicapped Scholarship Award.
  • Students on Part Time studies are NOT qualified for the Scholarship Awards.

Bursary Award

  • All undergraduates, Polytechnic, NCE, School of Nursing and Colleges of Health Technology students are qualified.

Who can apply for Delta State Bursary?

All Eligible Applicants must:

  • Be of Delta State Origin;
  • All applicant above 18 years of age MUST have registered with National Identification Management Commission (NIMC);
  • All applicant below 18 years of age MUST submit JAMB registration number;
  • Be a Registered full time student only of any Public Tertiary Institutions;

(Diploma, Masters and PhD Students are not eligible);

  • Either be in Second year or above (200 to 500 level) in the Universities or
  • Be in ND II, HND I and HND II in the Polytechnics / Monotechnics;
  • Be in 200 level and above for all Higher Institution.
  • Only approved public and private owned schools (University, Polytechnics and College of Educations) are Eligible to apply.
  • Have a CGPA of 2.20 and above in the previous academic year’s examination.

  • Fill the form properly
  • Upload your recent passport photograph (not bigger than 20kb)
  • Pay the online processing fee with your debit card. (The Delta State Bursary processing fee costs ₦800)
  • After payment is successfully made, login to your profile page to complete the form (type in your bank details and academic records)
  • Download and Print your Online Acknowledgement Card after successful payment for verification, It is extremely important that you retain your Acknowledgement Card after sending scan copy to: 2020bursary@dsbsb.dl.gov.ng

Eligibility and Requirements for FSB BEA Scholarship Award

UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

  • All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of Five (5) Distinctions (As & Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates, WASSCE/WAEC(May/June) only in the subjects relevant to their fields of study including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Certificates should not be more than two (2) years old (2018& 2019) for Non-African Countries andfor African countries the age of certificate is one year (2019) only.Age limit is from 18 to 20 years.

POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

  • All applicants for Postgraduate degree courses must hold a First Degree with 1st Class or at least 2nd Class Upper Division.
  • The applicants who are previous recipients of Foreign Awards must have acquired at least two(2) years post qualification experience or employment practice in Nigeria.
  • All applicants must have completed the N.Y.S.C. Programme and the age limit is 35 years for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D. N.Y.S.C discharge or exemption certificates only are accepted; and
  • Evidence of readiness to be released by an employer.

KPMG Nigeria University Scholarship Program 2020/2021 for young secondary school leavers application form is out. In line with KPMG Nigeria’s commitment to improving communities by improving the quality and access to education; KPMG has developed a program to sponsor selected candidates through their tertiary education.

KPMG Nigeria University Scholarship for Secondary School Leavers

As written above, KPMG Nigeria are receiving applications from eligible secondary school leavers for its 2020 university scholarship program. The closing date for submission of applications for the KPMG Nigeria University Scholarship Program is on the 25th of October, 2020.

Eligibility Requirement

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed their secondary education at a state-owned Government school within the last 2 years.
  • A minimum of 5 Distinctions (As & Bs) from their WASSCE (including English and Mathematics).
  • A minimum score of 230 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • Already have an admission letter or a provisional letter of admission to a federal university in Nigeria.

Yes, you can apply if you meet all of the other eligibility criteria. However, you can only be awarded the scholarship on a conditional basis until provisional admission has been given after being successful at the testing and selection process. The scholarship award will be withdrawn in the event that admission is not granted by the university.

The Department for International Development (DFID) in UK is now accepting applications from candidates from low and middle income Commonwealth countries, for the 2020 Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships.

Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship

Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

These scholarships are offered under six themes:

  1. Science and technology for development
  2. Strengthening health systems and capacity
  3. Promoting global prosperity
  4. Strengthening global peace, security and governance
  5. Strengthening resilience and response to crises
  6. Access, inclusion and opportunity

Eligibility and Qualification

To apply for these scholarships, you must:

  • Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person
  • Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
  • Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2020
  • By September 2020, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second class degree (2:2) and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree). The CSC would not normally fund a second UK Master’s degree. If you are applying for a second UK Master’s degree, you will need to provide justification as to why you wish to undertake this study
  • Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship
  • Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format
