Qualification and Application Requirements for NDA 73rd Regular Course Application

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Prospective Cadets applying for admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy must also apply to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and must select Nigerian Defence Academy as the First Choice of Institution.

 

Who can Apply For NDA Admission?

Candidates eligible for 73 Regular Course admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) must have the following:

  1. Must be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character.
  2. Must be single male or female without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.
  3. Present a Certificate of indigeneship from the state government or local government area.
  4. Be at least 17 years old and NOT more than 21 years old as at the month of September in the year of entry into the Academy.
  5. Must have a minimum of 5 ordinary level credits at GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NBAIS and NABTEB) English language, Mathematics and three other subjects which are relevant to the intended programme at not more than two sittings.
  6. Must have passed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation examinations (UTME) and attain an acceptable minimum national standard (as determined by JAMB annual policy meeting) in English language, Mathematics and any other 2 subjects relevant to the proposed course of study as set out by the JAMB Brochure.
  7. Must NOT be less than 1.68 meters tall for male and 1.65 meters for female.
  8. French and Arabic, Madarin language is an added advantage.

How To Know If Your NIN is Successfully Linked to Your MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile SIM

We believe that you are aware that the Nigeria government has ordered that all Nigerians link their NIN to their SIM. The initial deadline was 19th of January, 2021, but it  has been shifted.

For Nigerian mobile subscribers that have not registered for National Identification Number, the deadline to update their SIM with NIN is February.

As the deadline is fast approaching, we will like to show you ways to know if you have successfully linked your NIN to your SIM.

MTN Network has asked subscribers to dial *785#

After you dial this USSD code, you will be given the option to input your NIN.

After you have put in your 11 digit numbers.

You will receive a message that they have “successfully” received your NIN.

Please Note that the National Identity Management Commission will verify the NIN that you submitted to MTN.

If you are not sure if you have linked your NIN to your MTN SIM before, you can try doing it again until you see the message that says it is successful.

Glo network providers will send you a message that they have “successfully” received your NIN.

If you updated your NIN via text message to 109, they will reply the message to notify you if it was successful or not.

If you also dial *109#, they will ask you to input your 11 digits NIN Number and after, you will receive “Successful” message .

You can also do this more than once if you are not sure if  you have linked your NIN to your Glo line before.

Dial *200*8#

It will bring two options whether you want to verify if you have linked your NIN to your 9mobile SIM or you just want to start the linking process.

Press 1 and send to verify.

It will send a message to show you whether you have successfully linked your NIN to the 9mobile SIM.

If you have linked your NIN to your Airtel line by dialing *121*1#.

You will receive a message that you have successfully inputted your 11 digits NIN and that they will get back to you after verification from NIMC.

If you did not receive this message, you can retry it until you see the message to show that you have successfully submitted your NIN to update your Airtel SIM.

Please Note- The National Identity Management Commission, NIMC will verify all the updates and your mobile network will later send a message saying that your update was successful.

Also note that NIMC will do the final verification before your network will send you message that it is successful.

National Identity Management Commission also said that people who used their Bank Verification Number to generate the National Identity Number must still visit their enrollment centre to complete their NIN registration.

New deadline for NIN Linking to SIM

The deadline for NIN registration and sim linking is February, 2021.

  • Bank account number;

  • Proof of identity, among other documents.

According to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture, Dr Andrew Kwasari, “over 30,000 former N-Agro beneficiaries have been enlisted and deployed to Local Government Areas across the country for the mapping of farmlands and enumeration of farmers under the Mass Agric programme.

Beneficiaries of the programme are gotten from the National Social Register (NSR), comprising State Social Registers (SR) of poor and vulnerable households.

Mostly all States in Nigeria are eligible to participate in the program, subject to fulfilling certain conditions.

  • The Selection Board will involve physical, medical and academic tests. There will also be an oral interview for all candidates.
  • Candidates will be required to produce original and photocopies of the following:
  • All academic/professional certificates including degree/HND, WASC/GCE or equivalent, testimonials, NYSC Discharge or valid Exemption Certificate as applicable in a file jacket.
  • Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, Local Government Council of birth or valid age declaration.

  • Letter of recommendation by the commanding officer for military personnel.

COURSES FOR N-CREATIVE PROGRAMME

The N-Power Creative programme is created to train young creative talents. The strategy is to put the Nigeria creative industry on the global radar as exporters of world-class services and content. Training will last 3 months, made up of 1-month in-class and a 2month hands-on group project, across selected Nigerian cities. The participants will be trained and certified in one of the following courses:

  • Animation
  • Graphic Design
  • Post-production
  • Script Writing.
