FRSC Academy UDI/FUTO Postgraduate Programme 2022/2023- Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Postgraduate programmes in Transport Management Technology (specializations in Road Safety Management and Road Traffic Management) of the FRSC Academy, Udi, Enugu State offered in affiliation with the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) for the 2021/2022 academic session.

The programmes are available in Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree under Full-Time mode of study.

FRSC Academy UDI/FUTO General Entry Requirements

All candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes at O’level, which must include English Language and Mathematics and three other relevant subjects obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. In addition, NYSC discharge, Exemption or Exclusion certificate is also required.

PGD in Transport Management Technology (specializations in Road Safety Management and Road Traffic Management)

Candidates applying for the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) must have any of the following in addition to the general entry requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Transport Management Technology from FUTO or any other recognized institution with a third class.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Honours in other related disciplines from FUTO or any other recognized institution.
  • A HND with at least Upper Credit in Transport Management or related disciplines.
  • A HND with Lower Credit in Transport Management or related disciplines plus at least five (5) year post graduation work experience in Transport Management or allied areas.

Candidates applying for the Master of Science (M.Sc.) must have any of the following in addition to the general entry requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in Transport Management Technology or related disciplines from FUTO or any other recognized institution.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution plus a PGD in Transport Management Technology or related disciplines of not less than 2.50 Cumulative Point Average (CGPA) on a 5-point scale or a 2.00 CGPA on a 4-point scale.

2022 NYSC Batch A Stream 2 Online Registration and Orientation Camp

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Management has announced that the NYSC 2022 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 Service Year Online Registration will end on the 11th of March, 2022.

Below is the details statement released by the NYSC Management:

UPLOADING AND REGISTRATION OF PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS FOR 2022 BATCH ‘A’ SERVICE YEAR

1. NYSC Registration Portal is open, visit https://www.nysc.org.ng and click on the active link to register.

2. If you are registering for the first time, click on “Fresh Registration’ link. If you were deployed in previous Batches and did not report to camp, click on “Re-validation link” to re-validate.

3. If you have registered previously and did not complete your Registration, click “Login Here” to continue your Registration with your Username and Password.

4. Do not thumbprint by proxy. Click Here to see all you need for NYSC Camp

5. Upload a clear passport photograph properly dressed. Note that the uploaded passport photograph will be on your Certificate of National Service and Exemption Certificate. Do not upload passport photograph putting on NYSC crested vest. Passport Photograph cannot be changed after Camp Registration.

6. PCMs who have Name Correction request ( Addition or Removal of Name) to be processed by the Institution should apply on their dashboard, as well as those with spelling errors and rearrangement.

7. Date of Birth, Date of Graduation and Course of Study will be on Certificate of National Service and Exemption Certificate. Ensure your details are correct. You cannot correct any of these details after Camp Registration.

8. Apply for Correction of Date of Birth, Name, Course of Study, Class of Degree, Qualification on your dashboard.

9. The portal is also open for Foreign trained graduates and part-time graduates.

10. PCMs who are serving in the Armed Forces should indicate during Online Registration.

11. PCMs are advised to preview records entered before submission to avoid errors.

Enel Foundation Open Africa Power Program 2022 for young energy professionals -Initiated by Enel Foundation in 2018, and co-managed by SEforALL from 2022 edition, Open Africa Power is designed to equip a new generation of energy leaders with a holistic knowhow of the electricity sector to leave their mark, whether in public or private sector towards a clean energy future for Africa.

Eligibility Criteria

The Open Africa Power selection process is an open, merit-based, competition. The application period opens on 11 February 2022 and closes on 25 March 2022.

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be between the ages of 24 and 35 by 3 May 2022;
  • Be a citizen of an African country;
  • Currently reside in an African country or planning to relocate to Africa by the end of 2022;
  • Be eligible to travel to Italy. All candidates are invited to check well in advance the procedure applicable to their specific case;
  • Be a graduate from or current student (having an admission letter is also acceptable) of a PhD, MSc, LLM, MPP or MBA degree. Undergraduate students or people who are not at least enrolled in a master’s degree are not eligible for this program. One of the two degrees (Bachelor or Masters) must be from an African university;
  • Have competencies and a demonstrated interest to pursue a career – in private or public sector – in the electricity space at large;
  • Be fully proficient in English;
  • Be willing to promote gender equality and women´s empowerment within and beyond the programme.

To encourage and elevate more women in the energy sector, Enel Foundation and SEforALL will ensure that 50% of the Open Africa Power 2022 participants are women.

Bursary Application for Delta State Indigenes in Tertiary Institutions for 2021/2022 Academic Session

The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, is now accepting applications from students of Government approved private and public Tertiary Institutions for its 2021/2022 Students’ Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS).

The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, has announced the commencement of the online bursary registration of students for the State Government’s 2021/2022 Students’ Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS) from February 15th – 17th March 2022.

Applications are therefore invited from qualified Delta State Students in Public and Private Tertiary Institutions to participate in the 2021/2022 Students’ Special Assistance Scheme (Bursary Award).

Eligibility for Delta State Bursary

All Applicants must:

  • Be of Delta State origin.
  • Must have National Identification Number (NIN).

The University of Birmingham is delighted to be offering a major scholarship for international students, the Global Masters Scholarship, an award of £10,000 to provide support for you to study at the University of Birmingham in 2022/23.

Approximately 40 scholarships will be awarded with a value of up to £10,000 GBP. This award will be deducted from the total tuition fees owed by each successful scholar.

Governance, Risk and Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance with country adopted standards, policies, mandates and procedures governing activities within the credit space
  • Actively participates in Credit Risk Management Committee meetings and watch list committee meetings and provides meaningful input into risk appetite discussions, portfolio management and collections strategies as well as detecting and evaluating shifts or changes in key risk parameters and the effects of such changes on portfolios and relationships.

Portfolio Management:

  • Effective management of the zonal portfolio to deliver the desired result along asset growth, risk, delinquency and cost containment.
  • Ensures that all internal and external reporting is completed accurately, on time and that appropriate value adding insights into the portfolio are provided so that both internal and external users of information have a deep and appropriate insight into the quality of the portfolio and the appropriateness of the processes
  • Ensure there are effective controls in place to rectify any identified gaps/risks in the portfolio

Credit Committee Secretariat Management:

  • Prepare minutes of  Credit Committee meetings within 48hours of every meeting
  • Ensure all approved facilities are sanctioned in line with the terms of approval of the committee
  • Effective monitoring of all credit committee action plans; timely reporting and escalation of all breaches

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Receive, label and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue etc.)
  • Design and execute laboratory testing according standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings
  • Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods
  • Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
  • Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or relevant field.
  • 5 – 10 years of relevant work experience.
