Nigeria LNG Limited remains focused on education and human capital development as areas of special significance, because these two areas are intrinsic and fundamental to national development.

Nigeria LNG Scholarships

​NLNG has three main levels of scholarship schemes: Post Primary, Under-Graduate and Post Graduate to encourage academic excellence and support human capital development in Nigeria.

NLNG Post Primary Scholarship

The scheme aims at assisting high performing basic six pupils in company’s host communities to access post primary education. The scheme kicked off in 2012 with 28 beneficiaries and, by 2019, it had grown to 342 beneficiaries with a total sum of N825,300,000 ($2.697m) expended to date. Prospective pupils are admitted to the scheme through application on company’s website based on advertised criteria. A selection test is then conducted to place the best top candidates onto the scheme.

NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship

This was founded as a critical component of our education intervention programme for our host communities in 1998 and was opened up to the rest of Nigeria in 2003.
 
A total of 3,416 undergraduates from various universities in Nigeria have benefited from  the schemeand  N768.9m ($2.5130m) million has been invested on it . The introduction of online application and use of social media (Facebook) for information dissemination in 2012 made the selection process more efficient and cost effective, and increased awareness of the Scheme. The scholarship award value is N150, 000 per annum for the course duration of each awardee. The scheme was reviewed from 150 beneficiaries a year to 300 starting from the 2018/2019 academic year.

NLNG Overseas Post Graduate Scholarship

This scheme was launched in October 2012 with an annual intake of 15 beneficiaries to study in leading UK universities. The value of the scholarship is USD67,500  per awardee per study. Actual spend per awardee however ranges from USD45,000 to USD67,500, depending on the course of study.
 
The scheme covers these areas of study: Environmental Studies, Engineering, Management, Accountancy, Economics, Information Technology, Geology, Banking, Law and Medicine.
 
The 2019 awardees have commenced their programmes in various UK universities. 78 persons have so far benefited from the scheme with a total expenditure of N1.308b ($4.27m).

NLNG Post Graduate Scholarship

Criteria & Eligibility
All prospective beneficiaries must possess the following to be considered:

  • Have provisional admission from any of the under-listed UK institutions to study any of the following disciplines: Renewable Energy, Engineering, Geo-sciences, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Information Technology, Law and Medicine:
    • University of Aberdeen
    • University of Cranfield
  • Minimum of Second Class (upper division) in relevant field of study
  • Completed NYSC programme
  • Minimum of 8.0 IELTS score (with not less than 7.0 in all elements)
  • Not be more than 30 years of age at the time of application
  • Possess international passport valid for travel, at least one year from September 2021.
  • Able to obtain UK Tier-4 students visa upon being successful
  • Provide evidence of availability to travel in September 2021 if selected
  • Not be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relation of staff of Nigeria LNG Limited.
  • Be resident in Nigeria and plan to return to Nigeria on completion of the proposed programme of study
  • Provide letter of identification from respective Local Government Councils
  • Provide letter of consent from employer (if in service of any organisation)

Important Information and Notice

What is NG CARES?

NG CARES stands for National Covid 19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG CARES).

The NG CARES is the federal government initiative with support from the World Bank to mitigate the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic.

Benefits of NG CARES?

The National Covid 19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG CARES) will assist vulnerable Nigerians who were hit by the pandemic. It is a multi-sectoral programme designed to provide immediate emergency relief to vulnerable and poor Nigerians, smallholder farmers, and small and medium enterprises that were adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic using the World Bank grant of $750m over a period of two years which is from 2021 2023″.

Each state will receive the sum of $20 million dollars over a period of two years while the FCT will get $15 million and the Federal Care Support gets $15 million with effect from June 30, 2021.

  • Small businesses (10 – 50 employees)

This is to inform everyone especially those that applied for the army recruitment that the Nigerian Army has released the list of Successfully Shortlisted Candidates for its 81 Regular Recruit Intake 2021.

SCREENING EXERCISE OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES FOR 81 REGULAR RECRUIT INTAKE 2021

This is to inform the general public and all applicants that applied for 81 Regular Recruits Intake 2021 to visit the Nigerian Army website https://ims.army.mil.ng/darrr/shortlisted to check the list of successful candidates.

Date for NG Army 81 Regular Recruit Intake Screening

The screening exercise is scheduled to commence from 12 – 24 July 2021 in all the 36 states and Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

Shortlisted candidates are expected to report to their respective states of origin for the screening exercise with the following:

  • Original copies of WASCE/GCE/NECO/ NABTEB Certificate in a file jacket.
  • Trade Test/City Guild Certificate for Tradesmen/Women.

Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

During the internship GE will provide assignments, projects & tasks where he/she can develop his/her Leadership Capabilities, communication skills and introduce him / her to the work environment.

  • Business administration, MIS or Human Resources degree or similar degree.
  • Fluent in English .
  • High achiever.
  • Should have good command on Excel and Power Point.
  • A team player with the ability to communicate effectively with crosses functional teams.
  • Displays willingness to work in harsh environments
  • Good usage of Microsoft software

  • Be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable:

      • Is protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
