Application Guide

First choice candidates who scored 120 and above in the Post UTME Screening Exercise for admission into the University of Port Harcourt in the 2020/2021/2022 Academic session; who may not be admitted in their first choice departments, can apply for supplementary admission into other programmes in the University.

Candidates must possess a minimum score of 180 in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and a minimum of 120 in the University’s 2019/2020 Post UTME Screening..

Candidates mustpossess the relevant O’level credit passes in accordance with the University’s Entry Requirements before applying for the supplementary admission. Candidates should ensure their O’levelsubjects are uploaded on the JAMB website.

This article contains all you need to know about the procedures involved in registering for NYSC (Batch A, Batch B or Batch C) as a married woman.

NYSC Registration for Married Women

It will interest you to know that NYSC allows married female corps members to serve in the same state where their husband lives. This is called ‘concessional deployment.

Concessional deployment allows you as a married woman to serve in the same state, city, local govt or even town that your husband reside.

Please ensure you follow the steps we are going to be showing you properly.

Five (5) things that can make NYSC not to post you where your husband lives

  1. If you do not indicate your marital status as ‘married’ during online registration;
  2. When you select ‘Miss’ instead of ‘Mrs’ as your title during online registration;
  3. If you have incomplete marriage documents to prove that your are married.
  4. When you upload a document in place of another. i.e uploading your husband’s ID in place of Marriage certificate.
  5. If you upload documents that are not very clear. Please, use a good scanner device.

What to do before NYSC Online Registration as Married Woman

Documents Needed for NYSC Registration for married women

Married female prospective corps members (whether locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their

  • Marriage Certificates- You must present a certificate to know that you are legally married.
  • Evidence of Change of name- You must upload any newspaper publication that shows you changed your name to your husband name.

The orientation camp is highly not ideal for pregnant and nursing mothers. Prospective corps members in this categoriy are therefore to note that they will not be accommodated.

  • Evidence of state of residence of husband/domicile letter: You can get this from the local government where your husband is presently living.
  • Husband’s Id card: This can be your husband’s driving license, national Id card, voters’ card or international passport.
  • Letter from employer/Utility bills: It can be any of the following; electricity bill, waste bill, water bill, telecom bill, TV subscription bill, and so on.
  • Wedding pictures: You may be required to upload a wedding picture of you, your husband and other relations.

All the documents stated above must be uploaded where applicable on the NYSC portal during online registration.

Once confirmed to be genuine by the NYSC management, you will be posted to where your husband resides.

If NYSC posts you to a place far from your husband residence, you can re-apply for re-posting and redeployment at camp based on marital ground.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Management wish to inform all prospective corps members that the NYSC 2021 Batch ‘A’ Service Year Online Registration will start on the 3rd of March, 2021.

Below is the details statement released by the NYSC Management:

UPLOADING AND REGISTRATION OF PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS FOR 2021 BATCH ‘A’ SERVICE YEAR

1. This is to notify the general public that preparations are in top gear towards a hitch-free 2021 Batch ‘A’ Mobilization Exercise.

2. Accordingly, portal is now opened for all Corps Producing Institutions (CPlIs) to upload list of their qualified graduates.

3. At the end of the upload, graduates of Nigerian CPls would commence online registration on 3rd March 2021.

4. Similarly, foreign trained graduates would also login from 3rd March 2021 to upload their documents before being invited for pre-camp physical verification.

5. Those who failed to report for previous camp registration should also use the opportunity to login and revalidate their call-up details when the portal opens on 3rd March 2021.

6. Remobilization of corps members who earlier absconded service is on-going. Absconders who recently completed all processes for remobilization should login now and register on or before 2nd March 2021. There will be no extension.

7. Management wishes to reiterate that only qualified graduates should avail themselves for mobilization as illegal enlistment attracts jail term upon conviction by the law court.

Nigerian Army Trades, Non Tradesmen And Women Recruitment 202/2022

This is to inform the general public and all interested qualified candidates that the online registration for Nigerian Army 81 Regular Recruits intake for both Trades! Non Tradesmen and women will commence on 15 February, 2021

BASIC QUALIFICATION

  • Applicants most be Nigerian citizen by birth and posses a National identity Card,
  • Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit.
  • Applicants must be free of any criminal conviction by the court of law.
  • All Applicants must posses at least a minimum of 4 passes in not more than 2 settings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTES at O/level including English Language.
  • be addition to above qualification, those applying as Tradesmen/women must also posses Trades TesV/City Guild Certificate. Details are available on the website.
  • An Applicant must not be less than 18 years and not more than 22 years for non tradesmen/women, while tradesmen/women must not be less than 22 years and not more than 26 years as at commencement of Training by 31 May 2021
  • Not less than 168 metres and 162 metre tell for male and female candidates respectively,
  • Knowledge of additional Nigerian language other than mother tongue sean added advantage.
