Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board Has commenced online bursary registration of Students for the State Government’s 2021/2022 Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS).

Application requirement for Delta state bursary

All Applicants must be of Delta State origin, have National Identification Number (NIN) and have an account with a bank.
Applicants must be registered full-time students of only Government approved private and public Tertiary Institutions (PGD, Masters, and PhD Students are NOT eligible).
Applicants must have made a CGPA of 2.20 and above in the previous academic year’s examination.
Applicants must be in second year/NDI (200 to 500) in the Universities or HND Il in the Polytechnics /Monotechnic and NCE II – Il in the colleges of Education.

The theme for the 2022 competition is Innovations In Sustainable Food Security.

The scope of the publication are:

Improvement in food production with adequate nutritional values that meet the needs of the population
Processes in food production and food process technologies
Organic food preservation technologies

Eligibility for application of Nigeria LNG (NLNG) Prize for Science

Applicants must be scientists worldwide (Nigerians and non-Nigerians) involved in the application of science to proffer innovations in sustainable food security.
Members of the Advisory Board or Panel of Judges or their relatives are not allowed to enter their works for the Science Prize during their year of service as well as the following year.
NLNG staff or their family members are ineligible to enter for the prize.
The work should be of outstanding merit and should have advanced the frontiers of knowledge and/or provide an innovative solution in the area of sustainable food security.
The submission for consideration must be original and must indicate the specific area of merit; and all submissions must relate to that particular area.
All material in support of the entry must be submitted within the time stipulated.

Knowledge of mail and pouch, local mail, and international courier services mail regulations and procedures is required.

Evaluations:

The Centre of African Studies of the University of London invites applications from Nigerian academics to take part in a scheme of collaborative research funded by the Leventis Foundation.

The Leventis Research Co-operation Programme is devised to assist younger scholars develop their research interests in collaboration with their counterparts in London. Applicants are invited to apply to spend three months as visitors of the Centre of African Studies in order to pursue their research in libraries and archives and to participate in the intellectual life of the Centre. The scheme might be particularly appropriate for scholars working up a PhD thesis into publishable form.

Eligibility Requirements

Students admitted to a Paris-Saclay University Master’s program delivered by one of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, UEVE, UPSaclay, UVSQ. Among these students, only those who answer one of the following criteria are eligible to apply:
Newly arrived international students, aged 30 and less during the course of the selection year.
Students of foreign nationality living on the French soil for less than a year, previously or currently enrolled in a training course or internship that does not lead to certification.
Students of foreign nationality living on the French soil for less than a year, taking language classes (type FFL).
Students who have lived in France in the past, within the framework of a mobility program during their studies (eg Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees, exchange programme) that did not lead to certification.

– All academic fields are concerned.
– All Master’s programs for which Université Paris-Saclay is accredited, except for vocational training.

Scholarship Amount

The amount of the Université Paris-Saclay scholarship is 10,000€ per year. It is paid by Université Paris-Saclay for the duration of the academic year, and for a period of 10 consecutive months (September to June).
A maximum of 1,000€ for travel and visa expenses can also be awarded depending on the candidate’s country of origin.
Laureates will receive their scholarship as well as travel expenses only upon arrival in France and once they have enrolled in the program to which they were admitted.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Nigeria
Job Type: Permanent
Department: Centre of Excellence

Job Description

Apply data analytics to continuously transform data into information and useful insights by analyzing and visualizing metrics that pertain to product leadership and agile governance for Interswitch group.

Responsibilities

Analyze data and organize for teams, portfolio.
Creating measurable insights from the data to be shared.
Developing metrics, reports, and statistics.
Identify patterns and trends in data sets, analyzing those results, and deliver creative and innovative approaches to complex problems.
Proactively create and maintain visualizations to promote improvements and decision making.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required in a Quantitative or Technical discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a similar Quantitative field.
Strong knowledge of Tableau/Power BI or other equivalent data visualization software.
Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis.
Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Drill, Pig, Hive, and Impala
Experience with Python is a plus,
Data Analyst certification (eg IBM Certified Data Analyst, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst) is a plus.
Strong understanding of database technologies and ability to write code to gather data.
Ability to write and understand complex queries.
Experience building and analyzing data models.
