Federal Ministry of Education (Federal Scholarship Board) 2021/2022 Application Portal is now open – We are using this medium to invite interested and qualified Nigerians to participate in the 2021 / 2022 Federal Government Scholarship Awards for:

Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Award 2021 / 2022

BEA Scholarship Eligible for

Undergraduate (UG) studies tenable in Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Serbia, Hungary, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Cuba, Romania, Japan, Macedonia; and
Postgraduate (PG) studies tenable in Russia (for those whose first degrees were obtained from Russia), China, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, e.t.c.

Fields of Study for BEA Scholarship

Undergraduate level – Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Languages, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine (very limited), etc.; and
Postgraduate level (Masters Degree and PhD) in all fields.

Qualification and Requirements for BEA Scholarship

Undergraduate Scholarships:

All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of Five (5) Distinctions (As & Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates, WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) only in the subjects relevant to their fields of study including English Language and Mathematics. Certificates should not be more than two (2) years old (2019 & 2020) for Non-African Countries and for African countries the age of certificate is one year (2020) only. Age limit is from 17 to 20 years

Postgraduate Scholarships:

All applicants for Postgraduate degree courses must hold a First Degree with 1st Class or at least 2nd Class Upper Division. The applicants who are previous recipients of Foreign Awards must have acquired at least two (2) years post qualification experience or employment practice in Nigeria. All applicants must have completed N.Y.S.C. Programme and the age limit is 35 years for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D.
N.Y.S.C discharge or exemption certificates only are accepted; and
Evidence of readiness to be released by an employer.

General Note For all Applicants

Since the BEA countries are non-English speaking, applicants should be prepared to undertake a mandatory one year foreign Languare course of the country of choice which will be the standard medium of instruction;
The required certificates for candidates applying for Bachelor in Imamat, Quran Teaching Professor and Iman Preacher Training for Islamic Religious studies in Algeria is WASSCE / WAEC and no other certificate is accepted;
All applicants for Hungarian Scholarship can apply for up to two fields of study in order of preference; and must visit the website: www.stipendiumhungaricum.hu which will hopefully be opened between October and November, 2020

To facilitate the composition of the Team, the vacancies below have been declared for the FMARD recruitment:

Job Title: Youth and Gender Mainstreaming Specialist (YGMS)

Location: Nigeria

Main Responsibilities

S/he will be responsible for the provision of technical advisory services to support the youth, gender and rural institution activities across IFAD projects in Nigeria.
S/he will provide technical backstopping on capacity building activities aimed at providing information, knowledge and readily useable methodologies on youth and gender development activities across the projects.

Duration:

The duration of the assignment will be on 2-year renewal based on assessed performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Masters or Higher-level Degree in Sociology, Economics and other relevant disciplines.
Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience including at least 2 years in implementation of projects integrating strengthening of FOs and Gender issues in IFAD/Donor assisted projects.
Good writing skills and computer literacy will be an advantage.

Job Title: Senior Finance Management Officer (SFMO)

Location: Nigeria

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Lead CPA, the SFMO heads the Financial Management Unit (FMU) of the CPAT. S/he provides financial management to support nsk management, coherent and consistent application of procedures and crosscutting activities of the finance units of the projects.

Duration:

The duration of the assignment will be for an initial two years, renewable annually based on the successful completion of a one-year probational period, and availability of resources.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or MBA or equivalent qualification in accounting and finance.
Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, ANAN).
Certified training on financial management in internationally funded projects.
Basic knowledge of IFAD Financial Management Practices and Procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government of Nigeria Financial Practices and Procedures
Minimum of 8 years of work experience in a relevant donor-funded project with similar responsibilities in budgeting, accounting and reporting procedures of international donors.
Ability to present financial information in a clear, concise manner to non-technical audience.

Job Title: Junior Finance Management Officer (JFMO)

Location: Nigeria

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the SFMD, the JFMO will support the SFMO in the effective discharge of his/her functions.

Duration:

The duration of the assignment will be for an initial two years, renewable annually based on the successful completion of a one-year probational period, and availability of resources.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or MBA or equivalent qualification in Accounting and Finance
Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, ANAN).
Minimum of 5years of work experience in a relevant donor-funded project with similar responsibilities in budgeting, accounting and reporting procedures of international donors.
Literacy in Microsoft Office, Windows-based applications.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor (M & EA)

Location: Nigeria

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Lead CPA, the M&EA is responsible for providing guidance to all the IFAD projects on the overall monitoring and evaluation (M&E) strategy and the implementation of related activities, S/he is responsible for ensuring the alignment of the M&E strategy with the M&E strategy and arrangements of the FMARD to ensure the harmonized tracking of the results of the implementation of IFAD projects.
S / he is responsible for ensuring that the CPAT provides timely and relevant information to stakeholders of the IFAD Country Programme.

Duration:

The duration of the assignment will be for an initial Iwo years, renewable annually based on the successful completion of a one-year probational period, and availability of resources

Qualification and Experience

Masters or higher-level university degree in Agricultural Economics, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics or any other relevant field.
A minimum of 10 years’ proven work experience in designing and implementing M&E of results-based programme or project, i areas sudi as agriculture, natural resources, rural finance and policy.
Proficient int he use of databases and spread-sheets, statistical and other software packages Preferably STATA, SPSS, CAPM, Microsoft office tool (particularly Excel and Access) for quantitative and qualitative analysis, and demonstrated skills In quantitative and qualitative analysis and data management.
Proficient in the use of modem information and communication technology (ICr) in development, and excellent knowledge of computer – based communications tools, in particular web-and mobile-based technology.
Excellent written and spoken English.

Job Title: Liaison Officer – CASP and VCDP (LO)

Location: Nigeria

Main Responsibilities

An organized, efficient, and communicative liaison officer to coordinate between CPAT and VCDP or CASP as the case may be.
In this role, the LO will act as the middle person in order to streamline operations, resolve issues, improve communications.

Duration:

The duration of the assignment will be on 2-year renewal based on assessed performance.

Qualification and Experience

A minimum of first degree required
2 years of experience in a related role
Customer-oriented attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. A fair knowledge of other foreign languages is an added advantage
Ability to establish and nurture beneficial business relationships
Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems

Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor (SIA)

Location: Nigeria

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Lead CPA, the SIA will ascertain and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the financial management and internal control framework; ensure compliance with the IFAD and Federal Government project financing agreements, IFAD disbursement procedures, Project Implementation Manual, etc; identify critical weaknesses if any and areas for improvement; and provide the projects coordination teams with timely information and recommendations on financial management aspects of the project to enable timely corrective actions.

Duration:

The duration of the assignment will be for an initial two years, renewable annually based on the successful completion of a one-year probational period, and availability of resources.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of first degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting.
A Professional Certificate in Accounting or Auditing from an accredited program is an added advantage.
A minimum work experience of 8 years, 4 of which in donor projects.

Details

This scholarship supports Guinness Nigeria’s commitment to implementing transformative schemes that foster youth development. The scholarship will provide full tuition for students who are currently studying in Nigerian Universities and polytechnics. Students from our host communities are encouraged to apply

Eligibility

Applications are open to students studying the following courses:
- Engineering & Sciences: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Lab Science, Microbiology, Bio-Chemistry, Marketing and Sales. Human Resources/Industrial and Labor relations and Accounting.
Candidates must be 1st or 2nd year student in Nigeria Universities or Polytechnics.

Selection Criteria

Candidates may be required to write an aptitude test
Shortlisted candidates may be required to provide a letter of introduction from the Chairman or their Community Development Associations where applicable

The Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (PYES) 2020/2021 Recruitment of 774,000 Beneficiaries is about to begin. The PYES program was officially launched by the Nigerian President on the 12th October 2020.

Having launched the Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (#PYES )by President Buhari at State House on the 12th October 2020, we are working fast to open the Call for Applications to empower the 774,000 beneficiaries intended for the programme.

Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (PYES)

The PYES was conceived and designed to Fight and reduce unemployment among Nigerian youth by creating at least 774,000 empowerment opportunities, train and empower youth to have the capacity to empower at least one other youth within his/her immediate community create wealth among the growing youth.

If you recall, the first batch of the PYES recruitment exercise was conducted 23 months ago, on the 21st of January, 2019. The second batch of PYES 2020 Recruitment will soon start. We will notify you as soon as possible.

In a bid to reduce the rate of unemployment in Lagos State, the governor has approved Internship Programme for 4,000 unemployed graduates in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the present administration and the Youth Development Programme of the State, which are Education and Technology and Making Lagos a 21st Century Economy.

Title: Lagos State Graduate Internship Programme 2020

Benefit: Graduate Internship Placement Programme (GIPP) is designed to give candidates the opportunity to develop employability and work-ready skills that are needed in securing gainful employment.

Beneficiaries will be paid a monthly stipend of N40,000 for the six months duration of the internship.
At the end of the internship period, interns would have gained valuable applied work experience, built up their professional skills and would have been exposed to possible entrepreneurial opportunities to strengthen their professional skills and interpersonal relationship.

Qualification and Requirements for Lagos Graduate Internship Placement Programme (GIPP)

All interested applicants must possess the following qualifications:

NYSC Certificates or letters of exemption, and
Must be registered residents of the State with Lagos State Residents Registration Agency, LASRRA.

Please Note: The selection process will be transparent as successful candidates after taking an online test will be trained on employability skills for two weeks and evaluated, they will, subsequently, be placed on six months paid Internship with Private organisations and selected Public Agencies in line with their qualifications.
