In its bid to reduce morbidity and mortality caused by communicable and non- communicable diseases, improve primary health care outcomes, increase the life expectancy and quality of life of all indigenes of Kano State, the State Primary Health Care Management Board wishes to announce openings for the position below across its 44 LGAs:

  • The Medical Officer of Health (MOH) is a senior government health official appointed by the SPHCM B in – charge of overseeing implementation of the States health policy at the LGA level.
  • She / He will support the implementation of Public Health and Primary Health Care (PHC) programs in the Local Government in which they are appointed.
  • She / He will work alongside other Public Health professionals such as Community Health Officers (CHOs), Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWS), Environmental officers (EOs) and Public Health Nurses (PHNs) on matters of public health at the LGA level.

Qualifications and Requirements for Kano State Ministry of Health Recruitment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • A Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), Health Economics (MHE) or Business Administration (MBA) would be an added advantage
  • 3-5 years clinical experience post NYSC.
  • An indigene of Kano State; having  a bond with the Kano State Government is an added advantage
  • Willing to work at communities in rural areas;
  • Be able to communicate in English (written and oral)
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Possess passion about improving PHC service uptake in the state
  • Possess a valid medical practicing license
  • Ready to undergo screening, both written and oral
  • Have basic knowledge of PHC services in the state

TRCN Qualifying Exams List of Successful Shortlisted Candidates

Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN has released the List of Successful Shortlisted Candidates, of which a total of 11,487 candidates passed its annual Professional Qualifying Examination conducted recently across the country.

Candidates can now check their names on the list of Shortlisted applicants for 2020/2021 Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE).

According the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of TRCN, Prof. Josiah Ajiboye, a total of 17,602 candidates sat for the examination that qualifies one as a professional teacher, disclosed that 3,650 teachers failed the exercise.

A total of 17,602 candidates took the examination, 11,487 passed which is 75.9percent while 3,650 candidates failed, which is 24.1 per cent.

The examination, which was the second series to be conducted by TRCN for 2020 took place between 12 and 14 November.

Chief Executive Officer of TRCN further stated that, TRCN mobilized over 60,000 teachers for various digital skills training in 2020 in collaboration with other relevant bodies.

On the number of qualified teachers, Prof. Ajiboye put the number at about 2.2 million, adding that TRCN will in not too distant time release the present figure of quacks operating in the nation’s teaching profession.

Lagos State Resident Registration 2020/2021 Portal is open – The Lagos State government has announced that all Residents in Lagos State irrespective of Age, Gender, Ethnicity, Religion Affiliations or Nationality as long as you the individual resides in the Lagos State and intend to continue to remain in the State for 3 months or more, must register with the Lagos State Residents Agency (LASRRA).

Original & photocopy of each document is required at the Lagos state residents registration centre.

  1. Adult Registration Document Requirements (Ages 16 years and above):
  • Two proofs of identification are required: Photo identification and residence address verification. All proofs of identification and residency must be valid at the time of registration.

  • International Passport
  • Employee ID Card
  • Association ID

BOA-SMEDAN Matching Fund Programme (MSEs Loan)

As stated above the application is now open for the BOA-SMEDAN Matching Fund Programme for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). You can visit the smedan.gov.ng or apply directly via the link provided below.

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), desirous of building synergy in key areas of their respective mandate, have jointly scheduled an intervention Matching Fund Programme for MSEs to boost the output of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) across the country.

Opening Date:

  • The Matching Fund initiative will commence on Tuesday, 15th December 2020
  • With the opening of the programme, the portal is a promotional intervention meant to deliver credit to the sub-sector, with triple objectives of enhancing enterprise output, competitiveness and jobs creation.
  • The disbursing entity, under the programme, shall be the Bank of Agriculture Ltd (BOA).
  • Target beneficiaries for this programme shall be labour-intensive micro or small enterprises (MSEs), operating in the real sector. These shall ideally have innovative value-added products that are establishing a footprint in the Nigerian market and require additional funds to increase output
