Basic Qualifications:

1. Applicant must be single and Nigerian citizen by birth and must possess National Identity Card/ NIN or BVN.
2. Applicant must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit in accordance with Nigerian Army standards.
3. Applicant must be free of any criminal conviction by the court of law.
4. All applicants must possess a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital, or Local Government Council or a valid age declaration.
5. All applicants must possess at least a minimum of 4 passes in not more than 2 sitting in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.

Reason why you can not access the NDLEA Recruitment Portal 2023

The NDLEA online application portal was opened on Sunday 12th March, it began to experience glitches due to the heavy traffic of over 200,000 applicants trying to access the system. To resolve this, the Agency upgraded the portal to accommodate the large volume of applicants after over 53,170 applicants had successfully logged into the portal.

At the moment, the system is synchronizing the data at the back-end of the infrastructure in order to adjust to the server upgrade. The Agency management therefore wishes to apologize to the applicants for the hitches being experienced and urge them to exercise patience while the system completes synchronisation to serve them better.

NDLEA Nationwide Recruitment 2023 for Graduates and SSCE Holders

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced a recruitment exercise for qualified Nigerians.

The application will run from March 12 to April 8 and graduates of secondary school, polytechnic and university are invited to apply.

Applicants must be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess a national identity number (NIN) while computer literacy will be an added advantage for all cadres.

Categories for NDLEA Recruitment

There are 3 categories for interested and qualified persons to apply for; the categories are listed below

Superintendent Cadre (General Duties and Specialist)

• Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II CONPASS (08): Applicant must possess first Degree/HND in any discipline from a recognized institution of learning and NYSC Discharge Certificate/Exemption Certificate.
• Assistant Narcotics (CONPASS 9): Applicant with LL.B, BL, B.Eng (with COREN), B.Pharm, etc, on successful completion of training, shall be granted the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics I (CONPASS 9).
• Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics (CONPASS 10): Applicant with MBBS or DVM on successful completion of training shall be granted the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics (CONPASS 10).

Narcotic Agent Cadre

• Chief Narcotic Agent CONPASS 07: Applicant must possess a Nigerian Certificate of Education, registered nurses and midwives, Pharmacy technicians, lab technicians, dental technicians, or its equivalent from a recognized institution of learning.
• Senior Narcotic Agent CONPASS 06: Applicant must possess a National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent from a recognized institution of learning.
• Narcotic Agent CONPASS (05): Applicant must possess 5 Credits in SSCEAGCE/NABTEB including English and Mathematics.

Narcotic Assistant Cadre

• Narcotic Assistant I CONPASS (04): Applicant must possess at least 4 Credits in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB including Mathematics or English Language.
• Narcotic Assistant I – CONPASS (03): Applicant must possess at least 3 credits in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB including Mathematics or English Language.
• Artisans Mechanics, Drivers Cleaners/Gardeners, etc: Applicant must provide evidence of completion of secondary school or Trade Test Grade II or III

What is the Age Limit For NDLEA Recruitment?

• Applicants must not be less than 20 years or more than 35 years of age for the first category, while the age limit for the second and third category is 30 years and not less than 18 years at the point of entry. However, 40 years will be considered for Medical Doctors and Articulated Vehicle Drivers.
