UTAS Payment Registration 2023/2024 Form / Application Guide

June 21, 2023 by legitportal Leave a Comment

UTAS Payment Registration Form | UTAS Payment Registration 2023/2024 Form / Application Guide | University Transparency Account System (UTAS) Registration 2023/2024 – Introducing UTAS Registration 2023/2024 for University Lecturers

UTAS Payment Registration 2023/2024 Form

Are you a lecturer seeking to know more about the University Transparency Account System, UTAS payment platform? Discover the University Transparency Account System (UTAS), developed by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). If you’re interested in registering for UTAS and learning more about this payment system designed specifically for lecturers, keep reading.

The Federal Government is currently evaluating UTAS, a payment platform proposed by ASUU. In contrast to the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) that ASUU has criticized for years, UTAS aims to provide a more suitable payment solution for lecturers.

What is University Transparency Account System (UTAS)

UTAS stands for University Transparency Account System. ASUU has developed this new payment platform exclusively for lecturers in Federal Government universities under their association. UTAS has been introduced as an alternative to IPPIS for handling the payment of ASUU registered lecturers.

FG and UTAS Payment Platform by ASUU

The Federal Government is now considering ASUU’s request to replace IPPIS with UTAS as the preferred payment platform for university lecturers. After subjecting UTAS to an integrity test, it is likely that the government will accept its usage. This will mark a significant shift in the way lecturers are paid, benefiting both lecturers and the government.

UTAS Registration Portal/Link 2023/2024

Currently, the UTAS registration portal or link is not available as it is still undergoing an integrity test. We are closely monitoring the progress of the University Transparency Account System (UTAS) and will provide updates as they become available.

How to Register for University Transparency Account System (UTAS) 2023/2024

According to a released statement, “We are subjecting the University Transparency Account System (UTAS) to an integrity test in the office of the Accountant General of the Federation, with the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning in attendance. The system will be evaluated before a final decision is made regarding its acceptance or rejection.”

At present, the registration portal for UTAS has not been approved by the federal government of Nigeria. Consequently, the registration process for the University Transparency Account System (UTAS) is not yet open. Rest assured, we will continue to follow up on the progress of UTAS, providing timely updates as they are released.
