UBEC FTS Recruitment Screening Test Postponement and Shortlisting {Latest Update}

UBEC FTS 2020/2021 Recruitment Latest Update. The Universal Basic Education Commission Federal Teachers Scheme 2020 screening test has been postponed. This is to inform all those who applied for the UBEC Federal Teachers’ Scheme (FTS) recruitment that the Screening Test earlier scheduled for Saturday, 10th October, 2020 will not hold due to some activities.

Reason for UBEC FTS Screening Postponement

The most glaring reason for the UBEC FTS Screening Exercise postponement is that the Ondo State gubernetorial election will take place on the same day earlier scheduled for the 10th of October, 2020.

When is the new date for UBEC FTS Screening 2020?

The new date for the test has not been fixed. We will be communicated soon.

Candidates are advised to check their State Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEBs) for the names of shortlisted candidates, it will be pasted as from Monday, 12 October, 2020.

When will the UBEC FTS Recruitment Shortlist be released?

The UBEC FTS recruitment shortlist will be pasted on the 12th of October, 2020 at the State Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEBs).

Note- Though SUBEBs will send sms to shortlisted applicants.

Selection Preference for Federal Teachers Scheme 2020

Applicants with NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education) or graduates of Education having a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree in the below listed courses are preferred candidates for the UBEC FTS 2020.

Eligibility / Qualification

All interested persons must meet the below written standards and requirements. Interested applicants must-

  • Be a Registered FULL TIME undergraduate in a recognized Nigerian University
  • Be a certified 100 or 200 level student at the time of application
  • Show proof of SSCE or Equivalent Certificate.
  • Show proof of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) score.
  • Show proof of Admission letter from the University and Matriculation Number
  • Show proof of A-level or Equivalent Certificate (for direct entry students)

  • There is no age limit.

Salary and Benefits

The World Bank pays an hourly salary to all Interns and, where applicable, provides an allowance toward travel expenses up to USD 3,000 at the discretion of the manager. These travel expenses can only include transport expenses (airfare) to or from the duty station city. Interns are responsible for their own accommodations.

Special Public Works Recruitment Latest Update

The Special Public Works (SPW) is an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

The Federal Government is employing 1000 people in each of the 774 local governments in Nigeria.

The banks gave the assurance that even in LGAs where they don’t have branches, temporary registration centers would be opened in such LGAs so that the participants would not have to travel far to open their accounts.
