Job Summary

  • The Driver shall be responsible for driving staff on official assignments and delivering packages to clients in a timely manner, working on nights and weekends and ensuring that vehicles are always ready for use, among other duties.
  • The Driver will be in charge of driving, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of the office vehicle & will be assigned the responsibility of exercising efficient and effective handling of the office vehicle.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Transporting Staff and goods on official assignments, especially around the airports and environs, hotels and vice versa.
  • Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient fuel and are always ready for use.
  • Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary.
  • Updating monthly vehicle log book and other records.
  • Driving a variety of vehicles, including cars, buses and trucks when necessary
  • Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Maintaining high personal hygiene including wearing well maintained official uniform
  • Delivering messages and packages in a timely manner.
  • Picking up staff, office purchases or other administrative needs.
  • Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
  • Interacting with staff and the public in a professional conduct.
  • Working at odd times and on weekends.
  • Maintaining an organized travel schedule.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Station Manager from time to time.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Relevant educational qualifications are WAEC, SSCE, GCE, OND, NCE etc.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Not less than one (1) year driving experience

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring regular aircraft inspections are carried out and concerns are escalated while recommending solutions.

As a Quality Inspector, you will:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the aircraft and procedures.
  • Investigate, audit and inspect activities and operations location as part of ongoing quality assurance.
  • Identify and record any concerns or findings, and necessary evidence to substantiate such concerns or findings
  • Propose or recommend solutions to concerns or findings through designated reporting channels and methods

  • Hold Quality and safety briefings across different operation location(s) specifically Port Harcourt Base
  • Work out Quality Indicators related to the business operations
  • Follow foreign auditors and inspectors, where required during an audit

  • Work with process owners to ensure processes meet the required standards at all times and especially in preparation for an audit
  • Establish the audit plan for processes and activities covering all aspects of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations requirements
  • Prepare the Management Review for own activity and that of the unit
  • Prepare and present monthly activities quality and bi-annual quality reports to Safety & Quality Manager
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents and all reportable occurrences that resulted/could have resulted in damage to/failure of equipment and/or injury to personnel, document findings and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Prepare all relevant documentation for airworthiness of aircrafts and its parts as well as provide quality assurance as required for the successful operation of the aircraft
  • Participate in external audits and maintain effective liaison with relevant stakeholders and regulatory agencies e.g. NCAA during their surveys and inspections
  • Maintain appropriate records of all quality audits and inspections carried out, including preventive and corrective actions performed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Description

  • Liability and Income Generation
  • Analysis and Credit Presentation
  • Identify and analyze business opportunities within the public sector, including government contracts, grants, and partnerships.
  • Conduct market research and gather intelligence on public sector trends, policies, and initiatives to inform business development strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, agencies, and decision-makers to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan for the public sector, including strategies for client acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and submit competitive proposals, bids, and tender responses for public sector opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with government agencies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of public sector contracts and projects, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, market trends, and emerging technologies relevant to the public sector business landscape.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, demonstrating our value proposition and tailored solutions to meet their specific needs.

Skills and Experience / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in marketing role in a financial institution (preferably from a Commercial Bank).
  • Proven experience in preparing and delivering persuasive presentations, proposals, and business cases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, coordinating efforts to deliver high-quality solutions to clients.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet and exceed business development targets and revenue goals.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management within the public sector, preferably in a similar industry or domain.
  • In-depth understanding of the public sector procurement process, including government regulations, bidding procedures, and contract management.
  • Strong network and established relationships with key stakeholders in the public sector, such as government agencies and decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence clients and internal teams.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify and evaluate business opportunities, assess market dynamics, and develop winning strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Ibrahim Leadership Fellow will take leadership guidance from the President, the Senior Vice President, the Chief of Staff and Director of Cabinet and/or a designated Representative.
  • With this guidance, the Fellow will contribute to the design and implementation of strategic assignments that will increase and enhance their professional and leadership capacity, with the intention of contributing to the governance and development of their countries.

Responsibilities 
The Fellow will also have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and help implement innovative approaches to various strategic issues of importance to the Bank’s mission and objectives, based on international best practice.
  • Undertake research and analysis of existing and emerging strategy, program and policy areas relevant for the Bank, as required.
  • Assist with the monitoring and analysis of the implementation of various Bank Group initiatives as well as the regular work program, and prepare briefs, memos and other documentation that convey in non-technical terms the likely impact;
  • Participate in high-level discussions and contribute to the preparation of the President’s meetings and missions; and
  • Carry out any other assigned duties by relevant senior staff in the President’s office.

Selection Criteria (Including desirable skills, knowledge and experience)

  • The priority for the selection of the 2024 Mo Ibrahim Fellow is the Bank’s High 5 areas (lighting up and powering Africa; Feeding Africa; Industrializing Africa; Integrating Africa and Improving the quality of life for the people of Africa).
  • The key competencies are top-notch professional experience in private sector and strong policy analytical skills at all levels and ability to run models.
  • The Fellowship is for young professionals, mid-career or/and new executives.

The Fellow Must:

  • Be a national of an African country, residing anywhere in the world;
  • Not be an active, non-active, retired, or separated staff member of the Bank;
  • Not have close family relations with an active or non-active staff member, such as mother, father, sister and brother;
  • Government officials, active military personnel and political party leaders are not eligible;
  • Age limit is forty (40) years for men and women and forty-five (45) years for women with children;
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data;
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
  • Have outstanding academic credentials backed by a minimum of a Master’s Degree from a recognized institution in Banking, Business, Economics or other Social Sciences, Finance, International Development, or in any other discipline relevant to the Bank’s business;
  • Have relevant and demonstrable work experience, strong communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills, and ability to work with others;
  • Have at least 7 (seven) years work experience relevant to the Bank’s activities;
  • Demonstrate proven leadership and consultative skills;
  • Have experience in strategic planning, project management and execution;
  • Have experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures;
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
