How To Register For 2021 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) Into JSS 1 Of Federal Unity Colleges

This is to inform all parents that NECO has commenced the registration of candidates for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admission Into JSS 1 Of Federal Unity Colleges for 2021. See the correct application link and full details below.

ELIGIBILITY:
Only final year pupils of primary schools who shall not be less than 10 years by September 7071 are eligible.

How to Register for NCEE National Common Entrance Examination

a. Registration fee: The registration fee for the 2071 NCEE is Two Thousand Five Hundred (N2,500.00) Naira only, per candidate

b. Registration: The 2021 NCEE registration is strictly online. Registration can ONLY be done on the NECO corporate website www.neco.gov.ng.To register candidate(s) for NCEE, Head Teachers, Parents’ Guardians who are existing users are to login with their credentials to register. New users are to:

  1. Visit www.neco.gov.ng/ncee
  2. Create an online account using a phone number and email address
  3. Activate the account from your email
  4. Make payment into the NECO TSA using any of the following payment options: CARD, BANK BRANCH, USSD, INTERNET BANKING, WALLET
  5. Enter the candidate’s bio-data & upload his or her passport size photograph
  6. Print photo card.

NOTE:

i Payment for the National Common Entrance Examination is done on the NECO portal. as outlined in (b) above.

ii, Change of Name, Date of Birth, and/or the State of Origin will not be entertained after registering a candidate online.

iii. Qualified candidates that chose oversubscribed Colleges are liable to be placed at any available alternative College, according to the carrying capacities of the Federal Unity Colleges.

STRUCTURE OF THE EXAMINATION:
The examination will consist of the following:

PAPER 1:

Part A – Mathematics and Basic Science and Technology
Part B – English and National Values Education

PAPER 2

Part A – Quantitative and Vocational Aptitude
Part B – Verbal Aptitude

The National Common Entrance Date; Saturday 29th May 2021

List of Federal Unity Colleges:
Candidates are to choose any three of the following Federal Unity College as First, Second, and Third choices that are, one school each from any three geopolitical zones.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Prospective Cadets applying for admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy must also apply to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and must select Nigerian Defence Academy as the First Choice of Institution.

 

Who can Apply For NDA Admission?

Candidates eligible for 73 Regular Course admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) must have the following:

  1. Must be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character.
  2. Must be single male or female without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.
  3. Present a Certificate of indigeneship from the state government or local government area.
  4. Be at least 17 years old and NOT more than 21 years old as at the month of September in the year of entry into the Academy.
  5. Must have a minimum of 5 ordinary level credits at GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NBAIS and NABTEB) English language, Mathematics and three other subjects which are relevant to the intended programme at not more than two sittings.
  6. Must have passed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation examinations (UTME) and attain an acceptable minimum national standard (as determined by JAMB annual policy meeting) in English language, Mathematics and any other 2 subjects relevant to the proposed course of study as set out by the JAMB Brochure.
  7. Must NOT be less than 1.68 meters tall for male and 1.65 meters for female.
  8. French and Arabic, Madarin language is an added advantage.

There are two types of WB internships

  • World Bank Summer Internship (May-Sept)
  • World Bank Winter Internship (Nov-March)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an Internship-

  • Candidates must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a full-time graduate study program (pursuing a master’s degree or PhD with plans to return to school full-time).
  • There is no age limit.

How to Register National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) 2020/2021

Follow the simple step by step guide below to register your wards/pupils for the 2020/2021 common entrance.

  • Go to NCEE website via ncee.neco.gov.ng
  • Create an online account
  • Activate the account
  • Make payment of N2500 through the approved payment channel
  • Register the candidate(s)
  • Print photo card

Closing Date for NCEE 2020 Registration

The closing date for the 2020 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) is Friday 9th October, 2020.

The website will be closed on Saturday 10th October, 2020 by 11:59pm. As soon as the portal is closed you won’t have access to the portal again.

Date For National Common Entrance Examination 2020

The 2020 National Common Entrance Examination for admission into Junior Secondary School (JSS 1) of Federal Government Unity Colleges is scheduled to hold on the Saturday 17th October, 2020.

The NCEE 2020 will consist of the following:

PAPER I

Part A – Mathematics and Basic Science
Part B – English and Social Studies

PAPER II

Part A – Quantitative and Vocational Aptitude
Part B – Verbal Aptitude

Important NCEE 2020 Update

Please Note:

  • Where the time on the question paper differs from the time on this timetable, the time on the question paper should be strictly adhered to.
  • Albinos and Blind candidates are to be allowed 30 extra minutes at the end of each paper.
  • Blind candidates must make use of NECO supplied OBR Customized braille sheet for the examination.

This is to notify the general public that the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna has published the names of successful applicants.

Requirements for NDA AFSB 72 RCC 2019/2020

Selected candidates by the NDA Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) MUST come along with the ORIGINAL copies of their credentials which include First School Leaving, Primary School Testimonial, Original NECO/WAEC, NAPTEB, NABAIS, Senior Secondary Testimonial, Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age and Letter of State of Origin.

  • Any candidate who fails to present originals of the stated documents will not be accepted into the Academy.
  • Every selected candidate must come along with Branded Laptop Computer minimum of core i3, 4GB of RAM, 500 GB HDD, 2.1GHz Processor
  • Selected candidate must come with Bank Verification Number (BVN)

In addition, successful candidates are to come along with the following items:

  • Two pairs of black trousers
  • One lounge suite (dark color).
  • Two belts (preferably black).
  • One pair of black cover shoes.
  • One pair of white canvas shoes.
  • Four pairs of white socks.
  • One black rubber-strapped digital quartz wristwatch.
  • Black polish, brushes, shaving kit and toiletries.
  • Two white bed sheets and pillow cases for 8 spring bed.
  • Black swimming trunk/shirt.
  • Individual Barbing Clipper clearly labelled with name
  • Two Black civil belts
  • Two pairs of white shorts.
  • One pair of white trousers.
  • One Spike Shoes/Foot ball boot
  • Hockey stick
  • Two pairs of blue shorts and white round neck vest.
  • Two white shirts (long sleeves).

Female candidates should come along with the following items in addition:

  • One pair of black low heel cover shoes.
  • Two lounge skirts (dark colors).
  • Four pairs of black or blue short tight.

  • All shortlisted candidates are to appear for interview before the Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) from Saturday 12th September – 24th October, 2020 at the Nigerian Defence Academy Ribadu Campus, Kaduna. Any candidate that does not report would forfeit his or her place to the candidate in the Reserve list.
  • Note: Candidates on the Reserve list are NOT to report to the Academy until they are invited.
