Yes, WAEC result is out. The results were released 45 days after the last paper as announced during a briefing by WAEC’s Head of National Office, Patrick Areghan.

A total of 1,601,047 candidates sat for the WAEC Examination, out of which 1,222,505 (representing 76.36%) obtained credits and above in at least five mandatory subjects including English Language and Mathematics, which is a notable decrease of 5.34% from 81.7% of that of last year.
How many candidates wrote May/June WAEC Exam 2022?
A total of 1.6 Million candidates wrote WAEC in 2022. 800,055 are males (comprising 49.76%) while 800,724 are females (comprising 50.24%)

Reasons Why Some WAEC Result Is Withheld or Cancelled?
WAEC Result can be withheld because candidates’ exam fees have not been paid in full. The result would be held till they pay the money in full.
No fewer than 10 states out of the 36 states of the federation and the FCT are yet to fully pay for their candidates’ exam fees in full.
Another reason why the result is withheld is due to exam malpractice. A total of 364,564 candidates (representing 22.83%) of the total number of candidates who sat for he exam are being withheld in connection with various cases of exam malpractice, and their cases are being investigated to determine if to eventually release or cancel.

You don’t need to purchase any scratch card/pin to access your result. Candidates are to check the Smart Identity Card used during the conduct of the examination for their WAEC Result Checker PIN and Serial Number.

Important WAEC Result Update
- Do not laminate your ORIGINAL WAEC RESULT, instead keep it in a safe place. If you do, you have removed the authenticity of the result, so try as much as possible not to laminate it.
- Get a good water proof file and store your result. As a matter of fact all important documents shouldn’t be laminated.
