UN Global Compact SDG Pioneers Programme 2023/2024

The search is on for 2023 SDG Pioneers. Are you a business leader advancing sustainable development? We want to hear your story.

As part of the UN Global Compact’s Making Global Goals Local Business campaign, each year the UN Global Compact recognizes a class of SDG Pioneers — business leaders working at any level of their company who are using business as a force for good to advance the 17 SDGs. Through their own company or by mobilizing other businesses, they are helping to reach one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while also contributing to business success.

In 2023 Local Networks including, spanning all continents will be hosting country-level SDG Pioneers campaign to identify business leaders who will then be contenders for the global round to be recognized at the UN General Assembly in September 2023.

National Rounds SDG Pioneers submission is now open

As part of the UN Global Compact SDG Pioneers programme, Global Compact Local Networks spanning all continents launched a national search for professionals who are committed to achieving the Global Goals.

Interested candidates from companies headquartered in any of the countries listed below must submit their applications through the respective Local Network.

Global Rounds SDG Pioneers submission is now open

Selected national-level Pioneers will be locally recognized and advance directly to the global round. Only company representatives from countries not listed above can apply through the Global Round. 

Employees of companies participating in the UN Global Compact are welcome to submit their own stories describing their contributions towards sustainable development or nominate a colleague for consideration in the SDG Pioneers programme.

The 2023 UN Global Compact SDG Pioneers will be announced and celebrated in September 2023.
