As a Nursing student in UK, you are likely to fall into two categories. Namely;

  2. International students

Home students include EU students and they pay about  £9,250 in tuition per year for undergraduate degrees.

International students are students who are not from the United Kingdom. International student’s fee varies widely and can range from £10,000 to £38,000 or more.

Yes, you can. During the course of study, international students in the UK are permitted to work 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during holidays. Most nursing degrees last for four years and students will cover a wide variety of the different aspects of Nursing during this time.
You can not study Nursing in UK for free, however all nursing students on courses from September 2020 will receive a payment of at least £5,000 a year which they will not need to pay back. Nursing students will benefit from guaranteed, additional support of at least £5,000 a year to help with living costs.

Entry Requirements To Study Nursing In UK

Nursing is a very competitive area of study and it is important to not only show academic excellence when applying, but also have the right personality to take on such a demanding role. Students must have good numeracy and literacy skills, be outstanding communicators and are able to work as part of a team in high pressure situations.

  • Typical International Baccalaureate requirements: 30 points.
  • Typical A-levels requirements: ABB.
  • Typical IELTS requirements: 7.0 overall, with no lower than 6.0 in any one component.

High-school students can apply for this program provided they took science course subjects in their SSCE exam.

International students with science academic backgrounds, from an accredited tertiary institution, can apply for a nursing degree. Students are strongly encouraged to have at least a 3 months work experience in Care Centres; either in a hospital or NGO as a full-time or part-time employee.

Top-Up Nursing Program in UK- The Top-Up Program is primarily designed as a conversion course for students who have previously taken a pre-registration Nursing degree, such as the common Diploma certificate from a school of Nursing. Students who apply to commence classes in their final year and graduate within a year.

Masters Nursing Program in Uk- The Master’s program is a postgraduate degree within a time frame of 12 – 24 months. On normal grounds, the one-year program is designed for students who already have a BNSC degree, while the 2 years Masters is for other students who have previous academic degrees in a Health-Science related course.
