Program Assistant Vacancy at U.S. Embassy: The U.S. Mission to Nigeria comprises of the Embassy in Abuja, FCT, and the Consulate General in Lagos. U.S. Consulate General Lagos is the Mission’s representative to the Nigerian people in the southern region.
The Program Assistant – Public Relations renders administrative support to the Bureau of International Narcotics & Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Nigeria team and is the lead action officer for external outreach regarding INL activities in Nigeria. S/he is supervised by the INL Program Management Specialist.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to learn technology tools, including MS Word, Excel, Team, Project and Outlook, use of keyboard type, use of teleworking tools, and DOS (Department of State) software applications is required. Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multicultural team is required. Strong communication skills and ability to communicate information in an objective, transparent, accurate and concise manner both orally and written are required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external points of contact is required. Drafting/writing/reporting skills; as well as ability to operate office equipment are required. A valid Nigeria driver’s license is required. A speed test will be conducted.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
