The Australia Awards Scholarships provide opportunities to citizens of participating countries, for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate study at Australian institutions.

Benefits

Australia Awards Scholarships are offered for the minimum period necessary for the individual to complete the academic program specified by the Australian higher education institution, including any preparatory training. The following benefits generally apply:

  • full tuition fees
  • return air travel–payment of a single return, economy class airfare to and from Australia, via the most direct route
  • establishment allowance–a once only payment as a contribution towards accommodation expenses, text books, study materials
  • Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE) – a fortnightly contribution to basic living expenses paid at a rate determined by the department.
  • Introductory Academic Program (IAP)–a compulsory program prior to the commencement of formal academic studies covering information on living and studying in Australia

Country-specific conditions In addition to the eligibility requirements, candidates from eligible African countries must also meet the following conditions:

  • Be a minimum of 25 years of age on 1 February 2026
  • At a minimum, have 5 years of post-graduate work experience, working in a field relative to their field of study
  • Be employed at the time of applying for the scholarship
  • Be a citizen of Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia or Zimbabwe and be residing in and applying for the scholarship from their country of citizenship, unless working for an African Regional Organisation or working on diplomatic mission for their home country.

The Green Money Project is a presidential initiative aimed at empowering Nigerian youth through agriculture. This program is designed to attract, train, and support young individuals in developing their agribusiness potential, fostering value creation and wealth generation across Nigeria.

Green Money Project Registration

Nigeria is endowed with both human and natural resources beyond measure, yet the agriculture sector is underdeveloped and unattractive to the youth. A larger percentage of the youth population who resides in rural areas are largely poor and are struggling yo earn a livelihood. The Green Money Project will help reposition the minds of youths and actively empower them in a sustainable way to create ripple effect n productivity, value and wealth creation in Nigeria. Requirements

  • Age: 18-40 years old
  • Nationality: Nigerian citizen or permanent resident
  • Education: Minimum of secondary school education
  • Location: Resident in any of the 36 states of Nigeria or the Federal Capital Territory
  • Agricultural Interest: Demonstrated interest or experience in agriculture or agribusiness
  • Commitment: Willingness to participate in training programs and workshops
  • Business Orientation: Interest in developing or expanding an agricultural business
  • Tech Literacy: Basic computer and smartphone skills
  • Physical Ability: Capable of engaging in agricultural activities
  • No Prior Beneficiary: Should not have previously benefited from similar government agricultural programs
  • Valid Identification: Possession of a valid government-issued ID (e.g., National ID, Voter’s Card, Driver’s License)

This is to notify the general public that applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the under-listed vacant posts in the Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT:

1. Assistant Secretary:

Location: Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Enugu, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi and Osun State Wings

Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least feast a University degree in Education, the Arts or Social Sciences with a minimum of three (3) Years post Qualification teaching experience and must not be earning higher than salary grade level 09.

2. Accountant:

Location: Adamawa State Wing

Qualifications: Candidates must possess 8 degree or Higher National Diploma in Accountancy with a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience, and must not be earning higher than salary grade level 09. Knowledge of ICT and teaching experience will be an added advantage.

3. Executive Officers:

Location: National! Head Office, Niger and Rivers State Wings:

Qualifications

Candidates must possess NCE, HND or University degree in the relevant disciplines. Adequate experience in relevant areas will be an added advantage. Candidates must not be earning higher than salary grade level 08.

4 Confidential Secretary:

Location: For Kaduna and Kebbi State Wings.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies, good knowledge of Office Administration, Excellent Typing & Communication skills, Computer/MCT knowledge, Organizational & Time Management abilities and able to handle confidential information.

5. Cooperative Officer:

Location : For Enugu State Wing

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a University Degree of Higher National Diploma in Co-operative Studies and/or Community (Social) Development. Candidates who possess GCE O/L, or its equivalent plus OND/NCE in Co-operative Studies or Community Development may also wish to apply. Candidates must not be earning higher than salary grade level ENTRY POINT: CONPSS 08

a. Candidates are advised to apply for not more than one position. Multiple applications will lead to outright disqualification.

b. AGE: Candidates applying for any of the positions must not be above forty (40) years of age. Evidence of birth certificate must be attached.

c. KNOWLEDGE OF ICT: Candidates must have sound knowledge and skills in Computer and ICT.

CONDITION OF SERVICE: All posts are pensionable and fringe benefits are attractive. Candidates must be very sound and robust in Health and should be ready to engage in travels at very short notice.

The federal government in conjunction with the federal Ministry for Youth Development has launched the application portal for Nigerian Youth Economic Engagement and De-Radicalisation Programme (NIYEEDEP) 2025

Interested Nigerian youth especially those interested in Agriculture are hereby invited to submit their application form to participate in this programme.

The NIYEEDEP aims to create 6 million direct jobs for youths in 2025 across agriculture, food and beverage, and agro-allied sectors, addressing youth unemployment, household poverty, hunger, and food security, which is currently a threat to national security.

Youth Farmers Enrollment Portal Launched

To drive participation in the Nigerian Youth Economic Engagement and De-Radicalisation Programme (NIYEEDEP) the federal government launched a participation portal called the Youth Farmers Enrollment portal for all interested youth to register and participate in this program. The portal was launched on the 18th of January and is currently open for all Nigerians

Requirements for Youth Farmers Enrollment Registration

To register for the NIYEEDEP through the Youth Farmers Enrollment portal, you are to meet these requirements;

  • You must be a youth between the ages of 18 to 35 years
  • You must be a Nigerian
  • You must be interested in Agriculture or be willing to participate in Agriculture training
  • You must have a valid means of identification
