About the NLNG Nigeria Prize

The Nigeria Prize for Science, The Nigeria Prize for Literature and The Literary Criticism Prize are sponsored by Nigeria LNG Limited.

It aims at bringing Nigerian scientists and authors to public attention and celebrating excellence in scientific breakthroughs and literary accomplishments in the nation.

The prizes are presented to winners by the Nigerian Academy of Science and the Advisory Board for Literature on behalf on NLNG.

The competition is open to only Nigerian writers irrespective of their place of residence. The prize rotates among four literary genres- prose fiction, poetry, drama and children’s literature. This year, the competition is for Children’s Literature.

Contestants shall send in three critical essays published in major scholarly journals. Such journals shall have a proven track record of dedication to excellence and must have international circulation.
