BEWARE OF JOB SCAMMERS; WE ARE NOT RECRUITING
- The attention of the acting Comptroller General of Immigration Isah Jere Idris has been drawn to some spurious public notices circulating in some social media platforms announcing a general recruitment/replacement exercise into the service.
- It is important to state categorically that the publication is nothing but a grand design by some fraudulent persons who are seeking to deceive and exploit unsuscpecting members of the public into parting with their hard earned resources for non-existent vacancies. Apart from the fact that the entire publication is a product of very poor conception, the portal indicated for application is strange to decency
Suffice it be stated that the service is currently not undertaking any recruitment exercise whatsoever and so the public is hereby advised to ignore any such publication.
The Service has always used all the conventional and notable social media means including its website to announce recruitment exercises rather than the pedestrian approach used by the authors of the deceitful recruitment notices.

For ACTING COMPTROLLER GENERAL OF IMMIGRATION
Applications are hereby invited from eligible Nigerians for commission into the Nigeria Immigration Service, the application is opened to all civilians. However, serving military or paramilitary personnel sponsored by any of the Services of the Nigerian Armed Forces to civil institutions shall be considered.

This is to notify the general public that the NIS recruitment has not commenced.
Nigeria Immigration Service Recruitment Basic Requirements
- Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth
- Candidate must possess a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in either WASSCE/GCE/NECO or NABTEB. Hence, one of the credits must be English Language.
- In addition to qualifications above, those applying as tradesmen women must also possess OND/Trade Tcst/City and Guild Certificate.
- Candidate must be between the ages of 18 – 22 years for non-tradesmen women while tradesmen women must be between the ages of 18 – 26years by 1st June 2022.
- Candidate must be free of any criminal conviction.
- You must be medically, physically and psychologically fit
- Not be less than 1.65 meters and 1.56 meters tall for male and female applicants respectively.
- You are to print out a slip tagged: Photocard which should be presented at the screening center.
Nigeria Immigration Service NIS Requirements 2022
- Passport size photograph
- First School Leaving Certificate
- WAEC/Nabteb/NECO/GCE Results
- Optional – NCE/ND/Trade Test/ RN
- Birth Certificate / Declaration of age.
