KDSG Scholarship Selection Criteria

Recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 4.0 out of 5.0 or 3.5 out of 4.0 throughout their study period.

Merit-Based Local Scholarship Requirements:

Applicants must be residents of Kaduna State.
Submission of personal income tax clearance certificate of parents or death certificate as applicable.
New students must provide a valid admission letter.
Continuing students must have at least one year left to graduate.
Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum grade B in at least five subjects in WAEC, WASSCE, NECO, or equivalent, and not more than three years from graduation.
Continuing Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0.

Merit-Based Foreign Scholarship Requirements:

Applicants must be residents of Kaduna State.
Submission of personal income tax clearance certificate of parents or death certificate as applicable.
New students must provide a valid admission letter.
All shortlisted foreign applicants must undergo a drug test and provide a full medical certificate from a government hospital.
All shortlisted foreign applicants must execute a bond agreement with the State.
Undergraduate applicants for foreign scholarship in approved fields of study not available or in short supply in Nigeria must have a minimum of grade A in at least five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English and grade B for the other subjects in WAEC, WASSCE, NECO or its equivalent in one sitting and not more than three (3) years from graduation.
Postgraduate applicants for foreign scholarship must graduate with a first class honours for Masters degree while applicants for PhD degree must have a Master’s degree with distinction.
