Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM) is a nonprofit organisation administered by the Governing Council.

The Governing Council draws on a wide spectrum of experience and knowledge to effectively represent all members in developing strategic policies through the National Secretariat and its zonal offices.

HSE / Training Manager Recruitment at NALPGAM

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) / Training Manager

Location: Lagos

Functional Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the HSE Manager will:

  • Contribute to the analysis of the organization’s HSE risk profile and determination of key controls
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the quality assurance system.
  • Provide technical advice on HSE management
  • Develop HSE and other training curriculum as the need may be.
  • Carry out constant HSE training for our clients.
  • Implement the process for incident reporting and quantitative analysis of HSE performance.

Education Experience Certifications

  • Good First Degree in Health and Safety Management, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Medicine, Environmental Science/Management, Natural Sciences or other relevant discipline with three years of relevant experience is required.
  • Relevant experience in the area of HSE/training, especially in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Membership of local and international HSE professional bodies.
  • Training facilitation accreditation by Oil & Gas regulatory agencies

Competencies:

  • Competent in facilitation training of HSE related programmes/modules.
  • Evaluates data and courses of action to reach logical, pragmatic decisions. Takes an unbiased, rational approach with calculated risks. Applies innovation and creativity to problem-solving
  • Expresses ideas or facts in a clear, concise and open manner. Actively listens and proactively shares knowledge.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the impact of own role on all partners and always puts the end beneficiary first.
  • Efficiently establishes an appropriate course of action for self and/or others to accomplish a goal. Sees opportunities and takes the initiative to act on them.
  • Open to change and flexible in a fast-paced environment. Effectively adapts own approach to suit changing circumstances or requirements. Performance is consistent, even under pressure.
