Qualifications for the position of Reader (FUASS 6)

  • Applicants for the position of Associate Professor must possess a Ph.D degree in a relevant discipline with at least ten (10) years post post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a University system. He/she must show evidence of scholarships and a track record of outstanding research with at least twenty (20) publications both in local and international peer-reviewed publications.
  • Applicants must have been Senior Lecturer for a minimum of three (3) years before the date of this advertisement. He/she must be a member of the regulating professional bodies for professional Departments and in addition, applicants must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

The Qualifications for the position of Senior Lecturer (FUASS 5)

  • Applicants for the position of Senior must possess a Ph.D degree in a relevant discipline with at least seven (7) years post post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a University system. He/she must show evidence of scholarships and a track record of outstanding research with at least fifteen (15) publications both in local and international peer-reviewed publications.
  • Applicants must have been Lecturer I for a minimum of three (3) years before the date of this advertisement. He/she must be a member of the regulating professional bodies for professional Departments and in addition, applicants must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

Qualifications for the position of  Lecturer  I (FUASS 4)

  • Applicants for the position of Lecturer I must possess a Ph.D degree in a relevant discipline with at least five (5) years post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a University system. He/she must show evidence of scholarships and a track record of outstanding research with at least five (5) publications both in local and international peer-reviewed publications.
  • Applicants must have been Lecturer II for a minimum of three (3) years before the date of this advertisement. He/she must be a member of the regulating professional bodies for professional Departments and in addition, applicants must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

The Qualifications for the position of Lecturer II (FUASS 3)

  • Applicants for the position of Lecturer II must possess a Ph.D degree in a relevant discipline or must have been an Assistant Lecturer for a minimum of two (2) years before the date of this advertisement. He/she must show evidence of scholarships and a track record of outstanding research with at least two (2) publications both in local and international peer-reviewed publications.
  • He/she must be a member of the regulating professional bodies for professional Departments and in addition, applicants must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

Qualifications for the position of Assistant Lecturer (FUASS 2)

  • Applicants for the position of Assistant Lecturer must possess a M.Sc. degree in a relevant discipline. Evidence of registration for Ph.D will be an added advantage.
  • He/she must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

The Qualifications for the position of Clinical Instructor (FUNTISS 7)

  • The applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree (BN.Sc.) and must be a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Evidence of a valid Annual Practicing License with the regulating professional body will be an added advantage
  • The applicant must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology as applicable to the Nursing Science Programme.

The Nigerian Army (NA) wishes to inform the general public that the under-listed successful candidates for Direct Short Service Commission Course 28/2024 Selection Board are to report at Headquarters 2 Division Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Oyo State on 11 March 2024.

Nigerian Army DSSC Course 28 Selection Screening

Candidates are to report to the Selection Board venue on 11th March 2024 between 8am–11 am with the following items:

a. Writing materials including ruler and eraser.

b. Three (3) pairs of plain white short sleeve vests.

c. Three (3) pairs of navy blue shorts.

d. Canvas shoes/trainers and white socks.

e. Toiletries.

f. A set of cutlery including plates and drinking cups.

g. Bedding; to include, blankets, bedspreads and pillow cases etc.

h. Four (4) copies of full size colored photographs at standing position in suit.

Documents Needed for Army DSSC Course 28 Selection Screening Exercise

The Selection Exercise will involve physical, medical and academic tests as well as an oral interview for all candidates.

Candidates will be required to produce original and duplicate copies of the following:

a. All academic/professional certificates including testimonials, NYSC discharge or valid Exemption Certificate as
applicable in a file jacket.

b. Certificate of ordination for candidates seeking Chaplain (Protestant/Roman Catholic).

c. Certificate of Call to Bar for candidates seeking Directorate of Legal Services.

d. Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital and Local Government Council of birth or valid age declaration.

e. Valid certificate of state of origin.

f. Military Identity Card (military personnel only).

g. Letter of recommendation by Commanding Officers/Commanders (military personnel only).

h. Letter of sponsorship in tertiary academic institution(military personnel only).

i. Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate authenticated by a bank as well NIN enrollment slip.

Job Description

  • We are currently looking to fill the role of an Assistant Fund Accountant to assist the Fund Accountant by capturing all vouchers and journals into General Ledger of individual Fund, to ensure that the books of accounts are properly kept, all required monthly schedules and reconciliations are accurately and timely completed, in order to ensure that the Financial Statements with all required schedules and notes are professionally prepared to reflect a true and fair view of the activities of the funds and in compliance with the provisions of Internal Financial Reporting Standards.

Roles

  • Ensures that all Financial Transactions – Vouchers, Receipts (Interest and Dividends), repayments to retirement accounts holders, payment for all expenses, investment considerations and journals are accurately and promptly captured into the General Ledger.
  • Ensures that all interest on Treasury Bills, Bonds and Money Market are duly accrued for and booked into the General Ledger and all related schedules duly updated.
  • Obtain from Human Resources all information relating to separated staff with a view to preparing vouchers and for payment of their gratuities (net of indebtedness to Nestle). Capture all payments in the General Ledger and all related schedules duly updated.
  • Liaise with Human Resources on benefits payment outstanding.
  • Assist the Fund Accountant in the preparation on Monthly and Quarterly Income Statement and Balance Sheet, with all relevant schedules, for all Funds – Pensions and Gratuity.
  • Generate Portfolio Valuation reports for all funds and reconcile same with the Pension Fund Custodian.
  • Receive Investment Instructions from the Fund Manager and books all transactions in the General Ledger and related schedules.
  • Ensure that charges and other ancillary entries emanating from banks are validated and checked for reasonableness before booking entries in the books.

Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) / Training Manager

Location: Lagos

Functional Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the HSE Manager will:

  • Contribute to the analysis of the organization’s HSE risk profile and determination of key controls
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the quality assurance system.
  • Provide technical advice on HSE management
  • Develop HSE and other training curriculum as the need may be.
  • Carry out constant HSE training for our clients.
  • Implement the process for incident reporting and quantitative analysis of HSE performance.

Education Experience Certifications

  • Good First Degree in Health and Safety Management, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Medicine, Environmental Science/Management, Natural Sciences or other relevant discipline with three years of relevant experience is required.
  • Relevant experience in the area of HSE/training, especially in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Membership of local and international HSE professional bodies.
  • Training facilitation accreditation by Oil & Gas regulatory agencies
