The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) which ought to hold around June, will happen two months after.
WAEC said the change was as a result of their joint decision with the Nigeria Federal Ministry of Education based on the way Covid-19 made the academic calendar to change a bit.
The 2021 WAEC/WASSCE exam will still hold this year.
Although the international timetable did not change according to the statement released by the WAEC body, the new timetable for Nigeria will be out as soon as possible. Click Here to See WAEC Timetable 2021
According to WAEC, the 2021 exam will start on the 16th of August, 2021 and it will end the following month, by 30th of September, 2021.

WASSCE is the examination which candidates in West Africa countries need to write in other to gain admission into University.
