This post update is for all those who wish to study Law in any of the higher institutions. We hope this guide helps you get the admission you desire.

What are the role of Lawyers?

Lawyers play a very important role in our society. Lawyers advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations, Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses.

The Nigerian Bar Association is the national body that regulates the activities of the course in Nigeria.

JAMB Cut off Mark for Law 2020

Not all Nigerian Universities offer the course. Ensure that you selected an accredited university during your JAMB 2020 registration, you can also do JAMB change of course/ JAMB change of institution.

The usual cut-off mark set by JAMB is 200 for Law, but not all schools accept this score as some schools like Ahmadu Bello University, University of Benin, University of Ibadan etc. set their Law Cutoff mark between 200-250 and above.

Post UTME Cutoff Mark for Law in all universities

You already know that to gain admission into any university does not depend on how high you performed in JAMB but also how well you perform in the Post-UTME screening/Exam of your selected institution.

While some schools write screening exams, others just screen the qualifications such as WAEC result etc.

How to gain admission to study Law in any university 2020

The reason you have read all this, is simply because you are serious about gaining admission to study your dream course-Law.

To gain admission into universities that base their admission selection on the average score between your JAMB Score and Post UTME score, you must do very well in both exams, however, if you didn’t score so high in JAMB, all hope is not lost as you can make up for it in your 2020 Post UTME Screening.

For Universities that conduct post utme, if you are applying for Law, you must have at least a minimum Post UTME score of 65-70%. This would increase your chances of getting your dream admission this year.

Please know that this course is very competitive and as such you must work very hard to scale through.

It is also important that you got good grades in your SSCE/O’level/NABTEP/NECO etc.

UNIMAID (University of Maiduguri) Post UTME Screening Form 2019/2020- unimaid.edu.ng

University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) 2019/2020 Post UTME Form is out. See full details of how to apply for the screening exercise and cut-off mark here.

University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) Post UTME 2019/2020

The minimum cut marks for the 2019/2020 Admission Exercise for the University of Maiduguri is 160.

Please note that participation in the 2019/2020 Online screening exercise is a pre-requisite for admission/screening.

How to apply for UNIMAID Post UTME

Also note that this screening exercise is also open to candidates who did not choose University of Maiduguri during their UTME registration.

  • Visit portal.unimaid.edu.ng/putme/
  • Click on register to create account, fill the registration form and click register account (Please do not use yahoo mail).
  • A confirmation link will be sent to your email click on the confirm email button and you will be redirected to the payment page.
  • After making the payment, log in with your username (email address/Jamb number) and password.
  • Continue with your registration

First you will be redirected to course selection page where you will be required to provide the following

  1. UTME first choice
  2. UTME second choice
  3. UTME subject combination
  4. UTME score

  • Next you will be redirected to a bio data form. Ensure to fill all the required fields, upload a recent passport photograph, save and click next.
  • Here you will be required to provide your O level results, a maximum of two sittings is allowed.
  • On the next step you will be required to provide details of previous institutions attended with qualifications obtained. DE students should ensure to provide the grades obtained from any post-secondary school attended.
  • Next you will be redirected to the documents upload page where you are to upload scanned copies of your certificates and results.
  • Click-submit when completed and confirm submission.
  • Upon successful completion, the message “Application submitted successfully it cannot be altered. Thanks” will be displayed.
