- Applicant must be a single Nigerian citizen by birth and possess a National Identity Card/ NIN or BVN.
- Applicant must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit in accordance with Nigerian Army standards.

- Candidates must have no criminal record.
- Be in good physical and mental health, with no history of communicable diseases, stuttering, mental disorders, visual or hearing impairment or any other physical disability.
- Must be free with no tattoos or body markings
- Provide two recent passport photos with a colored background.
- Must not be a member of a secret society, sect or fraternity.
