The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has been active since 1930 and is Nigeria’s primary law enforcement agency. Their main mission is protecting lives and property in Nigeria, and they’re supervised by government agencies such as the Police Service Commission, the Nigerian Police Council, and the Ministry of Interior.

If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming an NPF officer, here’s the main gist: not everyone who applies gets shortlisted. To boost your chances, you must meet certain requirements.
These are some of the important requirements applicants must meet to be eligible for the next recruitment exercise:
1. Nationality: You must be a Nigerian citizen with valid identification, such as a driver’s license, international passport, or voter’s card.
2. Age Requirement: You should be between 18 and 25 years old. Applicants younger than 18 or older than 25 are ineligible.
3. Height: For males, the minimum height is 1.67m, while for females, it’s 1.64m.
4. Chest Measurement: This is applicable to male applicants only, with a minimum chest measurement of 0.86m.
5. Educational Qualifications: You must have at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics, in your Olevel (WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB) result.
6. Guarantors Form: Applicants must fill out a Guarantors form with verifiable references.
7. Physical Requirements: Applicants with certain conditions are not allowed to apply, including speech impediments, knock knees, bow legs, flat feet, deformed hands, tattoos, bodily scars, defective eyesight, amputation of any body part, gross malformation of teeth, protruding navel, and pregnant women.
