How to Register for Mike Okonkwo National Essay Competition for Secondary Schools 2019

The registration for the 2019 Mike Okonkwo National Essay Competition for Secondary School Students has commenced. Before we proceed, we will like to show you the winners of the 2018 Essay competition.

Miss Deborah Onitilo of New Chrisfield College, Ikorodu, Lagos was declared the overall winner of the 2018 Mike Okonkwo Essay Competition for Secondary School students.

Miss Ashley Davidson of Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls, Ikeja emerged the First runner-up.

The second runner-up position went to Master Ferdinand Esigbone-Omagbemi and Miss Ireoluwa Fagbemi of Roshallom International School, Lagos.

Mike Okonkwo National Essay Competition 2019 for Secondary School Students

The 2019 Mike Okonkwo essay competition registration is on, all interested secondary school students are hereby informed to follow the instructions contained in this post to participate.

The topic for the 16th Edition of this essay competition is “Justice as an Instrument of Enduring Peace in Nation Building”.

How to participate in the 2019 Mike Okonkwo National Essay Competition

Interested Secondary School Students are to write an Essay of maximum of 2000 words on the topic above.

Also attach a Passport Photograph of the Student, Full Name, Address, Contact Telephone Number, Class, School and Name and Telephone contact of the Principal.

The essay could be submitted through email. Send the required documents and essay via mail to essay@trem.org or by post to The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) International Headquarters, Obanikoro/ Anthony Oke Bus Lagos.

Prices to be awarded in the 2019 Mike Okonkwo National Essay Competition for Secondary School Students

Overall Winner- One Hundred Thousand Naira Only (N100,000), trophy, laptop, plaque.

First Runner Up- Seventy Five Thousand Naira Only (N75,000), plaque and school gets two set of desktop computers and a printer.

Second Runner Up– Fifty Thousand Naira Only (N50,000), plaque and school gets one desktop computer.

The registration closes on June 7, 2019
