Requirements for Fruit South Africa Internship Qualification
The incumbent must hold a BAgric or BSc degree in agricultural economics or in any field of study related to
the fruit industry value chain
Responsibilities:
- Providing general support to the Industry Affairs Manager and the CEO and standing in for the Executive Office Administrator when required.
- Conducting research on the latest industry trends and providing relevant analyses.
- Compiling and/or updating the industry statistics booklet that contains current industry information for all relevant stakeholders.
- Representing the organisation at industry events and drafting reports that detail those events.
- Communication with stakeholders and management of the Citrus Industry Trust-related matters.
Requirements: - Computer literacy
- A good understanding of:
o the agriculture and fruit industry value chains, and supply chains
o international and local markets
o the agriculture industry of South Africa - The ability to work independently, within a team
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and public speaking skills
- Good time management skills
- Good organisational and planning skills
- A problem solver
- Numerical aptitude
- Report writing skills
- Able to work under pressure
