COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT & SOCIAL SCIENCES

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications for the position of Reader (FUASS 6)

  • Applicants for the position of Associate Professor must possess a Ph.D degree in a relevant discipline with at least ten (10) years post post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a University system. He/she must show evidence of scholarships and a track record of outstanding research with at least twenty (20) publications both in local and international peer-reviewed publications.
  • Applicants must have been Senior Lecturer for a minimum of three (3) years before the date of this advertisement. He/she must be a member of the regulating professional bodies for professional Departments and in addition, applicants must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

The Qualifications for the position of Senior Lecturer (FUASS 5)

  • Applicants for the position of Senior must possess a Ph.D degree in a relevant discipline with at least seven (7) years post post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a University system. He/she must show evidence of scholarships and a track record of outstanding research with at least fifteen (15) publications both in local and international peer-reviewed publications.
  • Applicants must have been Lecturer I for a minimum of three (3) years before the date of this advertisement. He/she must be a member of the regulating professional bodies for professional Departments and in addition, applicants must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

Qualifications for the position of  Lecturer  I (FUASS 4)

  • Applicants for the position of Lecturer I must possess a Ph.D degree in a relevant discipline with at least five (5) years post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a University system. He/she must show evidence of scholarships and a track record of outstanding research with at least five (5) publications both in local and international peer-reviewed publications.
  • Applicants must have been Lecturer II for a minimum of three (3) years before the date of this advertisement. He/she must be a member of the regulating professional bodies for professional Departments and in addition, applicants must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

The Qualifications for the position of Lecturer II (FUASS 3)

  • Applicants for the position of Lecturer II must possess a Ph.D degree in a relevant discipline or must have been an Assistant Lecturer for a minimum of two (2) years before the date of this advertisement. He/she must show evidence of scholarships and a track record of outstanding research with at least two (2) publications both in local and international peer-reviewed publications.
  • He/she must be a member of the regulating professional bodies for professional Departments and in addition, applicants must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

Qualifications for the position of Assistant Lecturer (FUASS 2)

  • Applicants for the position of Assistant Lecturer must possess a M.Sc. degree in a relevant discipline. Evidence of registration for Ph.D will be an added advantage.
  • He/she must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology.

The Qualifications for the position of Clinical Instructor (FUNTISS 7)

  • The applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree (BN.Sc.) and must be a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Evidence of a valid Annual Practicing License with the regulating professional body will be an added advantage
  • The applicant must be Computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology as applicable to the Nursing Science Programme.

SALARY AND OTHER CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Salary and conditions of service are very attractive and comparable to what is obtained in other Universities.

  • Names and Addresses of 3 Referees (one of whom must be in the Candidate’s field of study).
