How to Make a Smoothie with Frozen Fruit
Buy your fresh ripe fruits, slice them, and put them in freezer bags or bowls with cover, place in the freezer to freeze them. Fruit can be frozen for up to 9 months.

Prepare your blender- It is more convenient to use a blender when preparing your drink, because it achieves smoother consistency.
Step 3
Add the Fruit, Liquid and Dairy (in the blender)
For the fruit
After selecting the fruit, cut them into smaller pieces and place in the blender
For the liquid in your smoothie recipe, use 1 cup of:
- Fruit juice
- Juice blend
- Coconut water
- Water
Then add 1 cup of:
- Milk or dairy-free milk substitute (plain or flavored)
- Yogurt (plain or flavored)
Measure in a glass measuring cup and add both mixtures (liquid and dairy) to the fruit in the blender.
Step 4
You may want to add thickener to your smoothie to give it a fuller look. This is optional

If you want to thicken your smoothie, there are many ways to achieve it.
- You can use frozen fruit instead of fresh fruit
- Add banana or avocado to your smoothie (Avocado, Mango, pumpkin)
- You can reduce the amount of liquid you use
- You can add nuts

Blend it- Ensure you have put the lid on the blender, turn it on, place it to blend at medium speed. As the blender gradually does its work on the fruit you can increase the speed. When you achieve the required texture, you can put it off.
