1. Citizenship: Hold citizenship from a Chevening-eligible country (non-British or non-dual citizens, with limited exceptions)

2. Academic Qualification: Possess an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK upper second-class honours (2:1)

3. Work Experience: Have at least two years (2,800 hours) of post-graduation work experience—covers full-time/part-time employment, internships, volunteering; must be accrued after completing the degree, not during mandatory study commitments.

4. University Applications: Apply to three different eligible UK master’s courses via the Chevening Course Finder and secure at least one unconditional offer by the July 2026 deadline.

5. Return Commitment: Commit to return to your home country for at least two years post-study to contribute locally.

6. Restrictions: Not hold British or dual citizenship (unless exceptional circumstances). Not an employee, former employee, or immediate relative of the UK government, British Council, Chevening Secretariat, or associated partners; and not previously funded by a UK government scholarship within a stipulated time period.

Benefits
