Edo State government under the Edo Star teaching fellows programme is calling on interested and qualified persons to apply for the massive teachers recruitment currently ongoing in the state.

Governor Obaseki has launched the Edo Supporting Teachers to Achieve Results (EdoStar) teaching fellowship program to Edo Central.

How long is EdoStar Programme?

The EdoStar is a 3 years intensive training and field experience employment program for teachers and aspiring teachers who will be transited into the Edo State Civil Service upon satisfactory job performance in the program.

Qualification and Requirements for EdoStar Recruitment

The program is open to two types of candidates. Those with and without teaching credentials. Those who have not achieved their teaching qualification will be required to obtain their PGDE or PDE through the Edo State College of Education (Abudu Campus) during the first two years of the program.
The purpose of the training is to hire teachers to teach solely in their communities.

Minimum Qualifications

• NCE
• HND
• B.ED
• B.SC
